Ballard is set to make quite the splash in the New Hanover High frontcourt this season following a productive grassroots season with WBC Elite. He’s a versatile prospect to keep an eye on given his length and abilities after showing he could run with one of the top Independent teams in the Wilmington area this past spring/summer.
McNeill is a new face who made quite the splash at this year’s PH North Carolina Top 250 Expo. He’s a strong-framed guard/wing prospect who showed he could operate in a variety of ways with his ability to knock down shots and finish in traffic. He’ll be a prospect to track this season with NC Good Better Best Academy.
Podger is a new face out of Cary High School who’s found himself on the PH radar in the latest update. He showed off his ability to knock down shots at the stretch-forward role. As he shows he can operate in the paint just as well as be an effective shot-maker on the perimeter, look for his stock to continue to grow in the class.
Scales is a new face who emerged in the 2026 class at this year’s PH North Carolina Top 250 Expo. He showed he could operate at either guard role and maintain things running the show at the point guard role. He does well to control the pace and can defend the entire court. His ability to make an impact is unmatched and he’s one to keep an eye at Parkland High this year.
Palmore is a sizeable name who plays a physical brand of basketball that he showcased at this year’s PH North Carolina Top 250 Expo. He showed he could get to the rim and touch the paint with his ability to attack the rim. As he continues to develop his all-around game and decision-making, look for his name to grow in the 2026 class out of the Greensboro area over the next few seasons.
