Bright is one of the best low post players in the state, with perhaps one of the highest basketball IQ’s. He’s so good at recognizing and subsequently passing out of double teams. The #1 Big in the class is also one of the top Glass Cleaners.
Highlights
Watch out for Snyder this season. He’s an offensively skilled big man with the ability to step out and shoot the ball. He’s improving his faceup game, and his overall talent is reflected in his 8th ranked status.
Steward is a high flyer with a ton of potential. He competes at a high level as well, playing with passion and energy. He improved his offensive skill set this summer, showing an improved ability to faceup and shoot the basketball from the three.
Anderson is an active forward that does a lot of things well. He rebounds at a high rate, and has the ability to make plays for others as well. He falls into the skilled big category, and his skills combined with his athleticism has him knocking on the door of the top 10 rankings.
Smartt is a problem. The big man is a legit threat to attack downhill and score. He can protect the rim from both the paint and perimeter, and has shown an effective ability to score around the basket.
Onykekonye has improved a lot between his freshman and sophomore season, now he gets a chance to put it all together. The long armed forward is a terrific defender with the ability to protect the rim. He is currently improving his hands, while developing a nice touch around the basket.
Mulal will team with Smartt to make one of the most dynamic frontcourts in the State. The big man has the ability to run the floor, allowing him to quickly change ends. He’s a good rim protector, who uses a good first jump to alter and block shots.
Bair is a two sports player that brings a physical presence to the hardwood. He is strong enough to move larger players off the block. and has the quickness to be effective as a rim runner and roller out of P&R action.
Thomas is a developing big with good upside. He’s shown the ability to play with his back to the basket, and can score the ball off drop steps. He lands in the top 50 of the rankings with the potential to rise.
Harris is a player that brings the physicality. The two sports star is an aggressive rebounder, and explosive athlete. He was dominant on JV for one of the top High School Programs in the country, allowing him to crack the top 50 in the rankings.
