Makur was another player that punished the rim. The big man showed explosion and power, finishing several plays with dunks, including a crazy offensive rebound off a missed free throw that he hammered home.

Smartt is a problem. The big man is a legit threat to attack downhill and score. He can protect the rim from both the paint and perimeter, and has shown an effective ability to score around the basket.

I really liked what I saw from Smartt when I saw him this summer. The long forward shows that he can effect the game on several ends. He’s got size and athleticism, so his rim protection is obvious. What’s impressive is his skill, as he’s shown the ability to grab and go after snagging defensive rebounds.

Smartt is a talented Newcomer who I was glad to lay eyes on. He has the ability to get to the rim using his strong hand and is a better than average R&J athlete. His size and offensive skillset will make him one of the most exciting new additions in his class.
