Preseason Player of the Year: 2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1587752' first='Reed' last='Pfaltzgraff'] (Bondurant-Farrar)

Pfaltzgraff was great last season for the 3A state champions, using his athleticism and length to impact the game on both ends of the floor. We expect B-F to still be the team to beat in the league, and his presence is the biggest reason for that.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1587752' first='Reed' last='Pfaltzgraff'] (Bondurant-Farrar): 11.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.3 steals, 39.5 3P%

Pfaltzgraff is coming off a junior year in which he was the leader in assists for an undefeated state champion, but he was overshadowed a bit by Colby Collison and Jaxson Fried. That won't be the case this year, as the Bluejays will be his team, and there is enough talent still in the system for this group to have a real chance to repeat.

2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1765518' first='Jude' last='Gibson'] (Ballard): 15.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.6 steals

There was high expectations for Gibson to start his freshman season and he lived up to them and then some last season, showing the ability to impact the game in a major way on both ends of the floor with his speed, talent, and IQ. He's able to get to the rim seemingly at will and puts constant pressure on opposing guards on both ends of the floor.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1222528' first='Adam' last='Bryte'] (ADM): 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 44.3 3P%, 81.0 FT%

Bryte has established himself as one of the best shooters in the state, as evidenced by his 44.3% from behind the arc last season. With his size at 6-3/6-4, his shot is tough to contest, and he's armed with a quick release both off the dribble and the catch. He showed more confidence in his playmaking when we saw ADM play in June, and if that transfers to the high school season, he could have a huge senior year.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1476977' first='Evan' last='Hammer'] (Carroll): 13.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.0 blocks, 50.6 FG%

Hammer is undersized as a traditional big man, but he has a non-stop motor, great hands, and is a good athlete who battles on every possession. He could average a double-double as a senior for the Tigers.

2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1751215' first='Reggie' last='Postel'] (North Polk): 13.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.7 steals

The Comets were a somewhat surprising state semifinalist last season, and Postel was a major reason why. A long, active defender, he's able to impact the game in a major way on that end of the floor and he uses his work on that end to spark his offensive game.
