Wilmes is small, but he’s tough as nails and lightning-quick with the ball in his hands. He does a great job playing with pace, using a great first step to blow by defenders and get to the rim, and he can absorb contact at the bucket and finish. He’s also a real pest on the defensive end, using his quick hands and speed to jump passing lanes or pick opposing ball-handlers clean.
