Players come from all over the Hoosier state, from Crown Point to Bloomington, Terre Haute to Richmond, and everywhere in between for this excellent event. As usual, Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage throughout the afternoon and evening for week three of the Metro Indy Fall League. Let’s dive in to highlighting some of the top performers from Sunday’s action.
If Bell is going to shoot the ball the way he did on Sunday evening it is going to be a real problem for opposing defenses. This 6’3″ North Central High School guard knocked in four three-pointers in a game at the Metro Indy Fall League while still showing his typical ability of off the dribble. He is so strong and physical with the ball in his hands that he is really start to stop when getting downhill to the rim. Then, if you pair that with him shooting the ball at a high percentage from deep, you have a guy who will be one of the best guards in the Indianapolis area as a senior. Received a recent offer from Army along with a ton of small opportunities.
Highlights
I’ll be buying Lapel stock this season and the Judge brothers will be a big reason why. On Sunday evening I was very impressed with Brode as he continues to get bigger and bigger while maintaining his perimeter skill level. Judge is a 6’6″ athletic wing that scored 21 points in the game that I watched knocking in four three-point shots and elevating to finish at the rim at the end of his drives. Really starting to emerge as an under-the-radar Class of 2025 prospect. Don’t be surprised to see his recruitment really take off this winter.
This 6’3″ guard caught a bunch of headlines coming out of Fishers’ College Combine. His strong play there earned him his first Division I offer from Eastern Illinois. Kirby impressed once again at Sunday evening’s Metro Indy Fall League scoring 25 points in a game that I watched. The super athletic guard is starting to have his skill level catch up with his elite physical gifts. Kirby has always been one of the best athletes in the class, but now the junior is shooting it well off of the dribble and showcasing a tighter handle. Look out for a big winter from Kirby.
The Kokomo Wildkats have been knocking on the door of a state championship the last two seasons. In 2021 they advanced to the Class 4A Semi-State and last season they made it to Gainbridge Fieldhouse before falling to undefeated Ben Davis. If they are to get over the hump this season, the addition of Abdul Mitchell Abdul Mitchell 6’5″ | PF Evansville Bosse | 2024 State IN will be a big reason why. The 6’5″ forward transferred in from Ownesboro (KY) and looks like an immediate impact guy from his performances at the Metro Indy Fall League. Mitchell scored 25 points in a game I watched on Sunday afternoon dominating with his physical and athletic tools around the basket.
Followers of Prep Hoops Indiana will know that we have been high on this prospect his last year’s Freshman Showcase. Shaw is a 6’6″ wing with elite length, athleticism, and high skill level for his size. He is a matchup nightmare on the perimeter, finished above the rim consistently, and has the tools to be a multi-positional defender at the next level. The Crown Point High School product continues to emerge as one of the better long-term prospects in the Class of 2026 and is proving to be a sure fire Division I talent. Shaw scored 23 points in his first game of the evening on Sunday.
