Names like Aasim Burton Aasim Burton 6'3" | CG Cardinal O'Hara | 2024 State PA (Rider commit), Jacob Nguyen Jacob Nguyen 6'3" | SG Spring Ford | 2025 State PA (several DI offers), Fazl Oshodi Fazl Oshodi 6'3" | CG Friends Central | 2024 State PA (handful of DI offers), and Kevin McCarthy Kevin McCarthy 6'4" | SG Episcopal Academy | 2024 State PA (multiple DI offers) come to mind right away.
However, today we want to review five prospects from southeastern Pennsylvania (and beyond) who may not be headliners (yet), but college coaches should still watch them closely on Saturday, because all of them can play at the next level.
Su-Meer Alleyne Su-Meer Alleyne 6'4" | SF Friends Central | 2025 State PA – 6’3” / 2025 / Friends Central / East Coast Power / Combo Guard: The former Archbishop Carroll starter is now at FCS and this year Alleyne (5.5 points and 4 boards per game in 2022-23) will be playing his more natural hybrid-guard position. The move to a perimeter spot will enable Alleyne to better display his three level scoring abilities as well as his ball handling and distributing skills. Alleyne posted an extremely impressive September, and he is just scratching the surface of his potential.
Tygee Clark – 5’10” / 2026 / Cardinal O’Hara / RKH / Combo Guard: Clark is a fast guard with elusive handles and high basketball IQ. That combination makes him a dynamic transition scoring threat. It also enables Clark to create for himself and others in the half-court. Clark’s ability to put the ball on the deck, probe a defense and then react to their movements is impressive, especially for a sophomore. As a bonus, Clark’s dribble pull-up game is unstoppable.
Timmy Dennis Timmy Dennis 6'8" | PF Episcopal Academy | 2026 State PA – 6’6” / 2026 / Episcopal Academy / East Coast Power / Small Forward: Episcopal added two talented prospects via transfer. However, the key to their success in 2023-24 could be the continued development of Dennis and his stretch-4 skill set. Dennis possesses the length, basketball IQ and shooting stroke (35% 3PM) to create serious matchup problems for EA’s opponents. He is too long and physical to defend him with a guard and “bigs” stand zero chance against Dennis on the perimeter. His ability to turn offensive rebounds into points is vastly underrated.
Tommy Kelly Tommy Kelly 6'4" | SF Spring Ford | 2025 State PA – 6’4” / 2025 / Spring Ford / Philly Pride UAA / Small Forward: Kelly (8 ppg. in 2022-23) is an athletic and versatile hybrid-forward who is primed for a stock rising season. His endless motor and keen instincts make Kelly a fantastic off-ball player. He does a superb job of finding space for open jumpers, cutting to the basket for catch and lay-ins as well as diving to the cup out of pick-n-roll action. Kelly is also a beast on the glass who can trigger Spring Ford’s fast break opportunities with precise outlet passes.
Aiden Tobiason – 6’5″ / 2024 / St. Elizabeth’s (DE) / We R1 UAA / Wing: The breakout star of the 2023 Check Rock League will be playing in the Crossroads event on Saturday and college coaches need to stop sleeping on him. Tobiason’s athleticism, polished scoring skills and ability to play above the rim make him an open court phenom. In the half-court he can produce buckets from all over the court and serve as a secondary ball handler. On defense, his length and versatility allow Tobiason to defend 2 through 4 and provide rim protection.
