Javon Williams Javon Williams 6’4″ | CG Washington | 2025 State NC is one fearless leader for the Washington Pam Pack in the NCHSAA 2A Eastern Plains Conference as he heads into his junior season. He’s part of a dynamic backcourt that went 9-4 in conference action this past season and has some of his best basketball on the horizon after the experience. He’s shown he can operate at either guard role and knock down shots on the perimeter and in the mid-range. Defensively, he’s a pest who can defend 1-3 in the rotation with his length and frame. DI and DII programs in the region would be wise to get eyes on him this season.
Jiyoun Williams Jiyoun Williams 6’3″ | CG Northhampton County | 2025 State NC is another prospect out of the 252 area at Northampton County High for DI and DII programs in the region to get eyes on. He’s a strong, big guard at 6-foot-3 who’s shown he can finish at the rim and create on the perimeter just as equally as he approaches his junior year on the varsity stage. He terrorized the 1A Tar Roanoke Conference in the NCHSAA this past season as the Jaguars went 13-3 in the conference and 19-7 on the year. He’s due to really boost his production after averaging 16.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 3.0 APG and 2.5 SPG as a sophomore.
Jermaine Cunningham Jermaine Cunningham 6’3″ | CG Swansboro | 2025 State NC is another part of a prolific backcourt duo at Swansboro High as he enters his junior season. They’re set to battle White Oak High once again for a 3A Coastal Conference title after going 8-3, second in the conference and 20-5 on the season. DII programs in the region would be wise to track him. He’s an emerging combo guard at 6-foot-3 with a strong frame and impressive ability to rebound the ball. Look for his production to grow after averaging 13.3 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 3.7 APG, 2.1 SPG and 1.3 BPG as a two-way backcourt presence.
Jordan Patterson Jordan Patterson 6’3″ | CG West Caldwell | 2025 State NC is a defensive-minded combo guard to get to know in the 2A Catawba Valley Conference. They went unbeaten at 13-0 and made it to the third round of the 2A NCHSAA State Playoffs before falling by just five points to Salisbury High. Patterson returns looking for vengeance after producing 16.1 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 2.7 SPG and 2.6 APG as a sophomore presence in the varsity rotation. DII programs in the region would be wise to get eyes on him. He’s a sizeable guard with a knack for rebounding the ball and utilizing his length/athleticism in a variety of ways. He’s a prospect for DI and DII programs in the region to put on their radar this season at West Caldwell High.
Seung Surmons Seung Surmons 6’1″ | CG Southern Wake Academy | 2025 State NC is 6-foot guard with a bright future ahead of him at Southern Wake Academy. He burst onto the scene this past grassroots cycle with Team Curry East on the 16U stage and continues to develop his overall game as a guard who plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor. He’s got an impressive ability to knock down a ton of shots with efficiency while maintaining the ability to get others involved and control the pace with his quickness. He’s a prospect with the potential to break out in the 2025 class with his abilities.
