Williams continues to assert himself as a physical, athletic slasher that is one of the best 2025s in the eastern half of the state. He went for 23 and 27 in his team’s two wins, continually attacking downhill and putting pressure on the rim. His strength on his 6’2 frame is what sets him apart from others, as you can see his football background showing on the basketball floor. Should be a name that local college coaches move on soon.

Jiyoun Williams Jiyoun Williams 6'2" | CG Northampton County | 2025 State NC is another prospect out of the 252 area at Northampton County High for DI and DII programs in the region to get eyes on. He’s a strong, big guard at 6-foot-3 who’s shown he can finish at the rim and create on the perimeter just as equally as he approaches his junior year on the varsity stage. He terrorized the 1A Tar Roanoke Conference in the NCHSAA this past season as the Jaguars went 13-3 in the conference and 19-7 on the year. He’s due to really boost his production after averaging 16.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 3.0 APG and 2.5 SPG as a sophomore.

Jiyoun Williams Jiyoun Williams 6'2" | CG Northampton County | 2025 State NC is a prospect out of the 252 area that continues to grow and develop in North Carolina’s 2025 class with Team Trezz Davis on the grassroots scene. He’s a strong, big guard prospect that’s shown he can operate in a variety of ways in the backcourt for his squad with his ability to attack the paint and finish in traffic around the rim. He’s a name for DII programs to get eyes on given his skill set.

Williams was awesome for Team Trezz this weekend, and him being such a physical presence is something that college coaches should be interested in alone. Not only that, but he’s an accomplished slasher and really attacks hard and does business at the free throw line. He’s a stocky 6’3, but does not lack in quickness or straight line speed. This makes him a hard charging slasher that defenders don’t want to get in front of or foul when he goes up to the rim. He can drive, play out of the mid-post, or do anything with poise and excellence inside the arc. I’ll be interested to watch him more over the summer.

His team struggled throughout the day in their matchup with HC but he was the bright spot for his team, providing a nice amount of offense. He led the way in scoring with 15 Points and was constantly attacking the defense which led to some buckets and drawn fouls.
