But who are the movers and shakers that have possibly made waves in the rankings, moved up or moved in? Who are the guys that have left a lasting impression on enough evaluators and coaches to create a recruiting buzz that propels that movement? We have our first set of 2025 rankings released and below we have what we think are the most significant stock rising players.
Kirk in the last six months cemented himself into the top 50 as well as in several recruiting conversations. A coveted combination of skill, hustle and elite athleticism, Xavier has quickly created a buzz around his showings whether it be in off-season games or elite camps. When he adds a consistent jumper to his repertoire, look out, the rush from college coaches will be on.

Preston has risen to take the seat as the top center in 2025. After a sizzling performance in the state tournament and performing vs. big school competition during spring, summer and fall, Luzader has proven he belongs. A strong and sturdy 6’6″, Luzader is an attractive recruit for all D3’s but with another offseason and two school seasons’ ahead he could easily grow as well as develop into a 4 man with D2 ambitions.

Hewitt is making the tough transition from small private school to playing WV’s top competition. With expected struggles Navi has pivoted nicely with outstanding showings this fall, following up some great outings during summer for the WV Hustle squad on the Big Shots circuit. A high-flying dunker in transition, Navi has potential to be one of WV’s elite defenders as well as scorers.

Troy has strung together a run of shooting performances dating back at least a year and a half from AAU games as well as school season games. He simply continues to perform and do what he does best. A defense stretching guard that is equally effective on the defensive send, Anthony will have a huge role this junior season for the Maroon Knights and continue to solidify himself as one of WV’s top players.
Blackburn who we believe will be Cabell-Midland’s best player, moved the needle just enough to get several people’s attention throughout the summer with some outstanding shooting performances against top competition. One of WV’s bigger shooting guards, Blackburn has consistently been a top scorer and we’d anticipate the same through school season with abilities to drive past defenders and a great pull up from 3.
Watts topped off his school season as being one of the state’s top scorers. He’s a super athletic 6’2″ multi-sport athlete and already has garnered a NAIA offer from Kentucky Christian for hoops. Nobody would be surprised if he didn’t get a football offer somewhere as well. Watts uses great lateral quickness and explosion to the hoop as well as elevate over defenders for jumpers. His off-season work coupled with an early offer make him a true stock rising junior.
