Camden Burns Camden Burns 6'0" | CG SCH Academy | 2024 State PA – 6’1” / 2024 / Springside CHA / NJ Scholars EYBL / Combo Guard: It would be fitting if this two-time All-Inter-Ac selection wrapped up his high school career with a POY nod. Last season Burns posted 14 points, 3 boards and 3.5 assists per game. Burns makes his living in the mid-range, but he is an underrated 3-point shooter. He also uses his elusive dribbling skills to create for himself or teammates. Burns should be option No. 1 for SCHA this season, so that could lead to some big stat lines in 2023-24. Burns holds an offer from Chestnut Hill College (D2).
Matt Gilhool Matt Gilhool 6'11" | PF William Penn Charter | 2025 State #76 Nation PA – 6’10” / 2025 / Penn Charter / Philly Pride UAA / Power Forward: Gilhool’s transfer to Penn Charter immediately thrust him into the POY conversation. Gilhool is widely considered one of the top stretch-4 prospects in the state. With his size, athleticism, dead-eye shooting and interior skills, it is easy to see why. Last season at Westtown he posted 10.7 ppg. and 8.4 rebounds per game. This year at PC we expect Gilhool to see significantly increased touches. So those stats lines should skyrocket. Gilhool holds over a dozen DI offers.
Kevin McCarthy Kevin McCarthy 6'4" | SG Episcopal Academy | 2024 State PA – 6’4” / 2024 / Episcopal Academy / Philly Revolution / Wing: In 2022-23 McCarthy posted 15 ppg. and drained 67 threes. At the conclusion of last season, he was named 1st Team All-Inter-Ac as well as 3rd Team All-State selection. Still, we believe the best is yet to come from McCarthy. Automatic 3-pooint shooting will continue to be McCarthy’s primary weapon, but in the last three months he has displayed improved handles that enable him to get to the cup with ease. A stronger frame has increased his ability to finish through contact and work the offensive glass. With the recent influx of talented transfers at EA, opponents will no longer be able to double and triple team McCarthy. So his points per game averages should go up. He holds offers from FGCU, Army, and Farleigh Dickinson.
Bryce Rollerson Bryce Rollerson 5'11" | PG Academy Of The New Church | 2026 State PA – 5’11” / 2025 / Germantown Academy / Eastern PA Elite / Point Guard: A scoring surge by Rollerson in the latter half of the 2022-23 season landed Rollerson on the 2nd Team All-Inter Ac squad. We are betting Rollerson continues with the scoring surge we saw at the end of last year and has a monster season. Rollerson (21 ppg.) is a crafty floor general who can produce points at all three-levels. He scored a season high 33 points against SCHA. However, Rollerson’s best assets may be his court vision, passing skills and his ability to dictate the tempo of a game. Rollerson is a poised primary ball handler who never gets sped up.
Kai Shinholster Kai Shinholster 6'5" | SG Penn Charter | 2025 State #133 Nation PA – 6’3″ / 2025 / Penn Charter / K-Low Elite / Shooting Guard: Shinholster (13 ppg. in 2022-23) is considered one of the top shooting guards in southeastern Pennsylvania. So it should not come as a surprise that he is featured in our POY list. He is a high percentage three-point shooter who can hits triples of every variety. Plus, he possesses the speed and athleticism to score in the open court. The additions of Matt Gilhool Matt Gilhool 6'11" | PF William Penn Charter | 2025 State #76 Nation PA and Jake West Jake West 6'3" | PG William Penn Charter | 2025 State #193 Nation PA should increase the number of open looks Shinholster gets this season. We bet he converts on those chances. Shinholster holds offers from Hofstra, UTEP and Robert Morris.
Jake West Jake West 6'3" | PG William Penn Charter | 2025 State #193 Nation PA – 6’3″ / 2025 / Penn Charter / Team Final EYBL / Combo Guard: Speaking of Jake West Jake West 6'3" | PG William Penn Charter | 2025 State #193 Nation PA …the highest profile off-season transfer in SEPA will be one of the favorites to win the 2023-24 Inter-Ac POY award. West (13 ppg.; 3.5 apg.; 39% on threes) can carve up opponents with his 3-point shooting, off the dribble moves and his transition finishing skills. West can also run as a distributing point guard, precisely orchestrating Penn Charter’s set plays and delivering the rock to the best option. West holds a dozen division one offers, and that number is only going to go up.
Ryan Williams Ryan Williams 6'3" | SG Malvern Prep | 2024 State PA – 6’1” / 2024 / Malvern Prep / Philly Pride National / Combo Guard: Last season this Northeastern commit led the Inter-Ac in scoring (19 ppg.) and was a 1st Team All-Inter-Ac selection. When you combine those facts with the idea that Williams has displayed significantly improved scoring skills over the last three months, you will understand why we are installing him as the heavy favorite to take home the 2023-24 POY trophy. Simply put, Williams is an electric combo guard who is a walking bucket. Even with his elite 3-level scoring abilities, Williams rarely hoists up an ill-advised shot and is a willing distributor.
