Baboucarr Ann Baboucarr Ann 6'4" | SF Maple Grove | 2027 State MN of Maple Grove (PJ Hoops). Ann showed the frame, agility and the ability to use those physical gifts to be a solid player and even better prospect. He put the ball on the floor with a pair of dribbles to use that quick bounce and length to finish. And what’s more exciting is that with more skill, more core strength through natural maturation, and improved comfort on the floor, he’s going to be even tougher to compete against.
Owen Counce Owen Counce 5'6" | PG Champlin Park | 2027 State MN of Champlin Park ( D1 Minnesota ). The three things that caught me were 1) the ability to pass the ball in transition with the right lead for a comfortable shot, 2) great control of the ball in transition up the floor, and 3) the pull. Owen has what looks to be one of the nastier pull-up jumpers that I have seen in a young event like this.
Waleed Muhammad Waleed Muhammad 6'0" Breck | 2027 MN of Breck (Real Phenom). Waleed surely was one of the biggest eye openers for me at the event. His dribble separation into a quick second move, the touch on the score, and the inability for anybody to move their frame with him really stood out. A player that I would refer to as nasty when it comes the dribble separation attack. I’d expect him to be a really nice player on the JV/Varsity for Breck the next four years.
Kobby Sambrew Kobby Sambrew 6'4" | SF Prior Lake | 2027 State MN of Prior Lake (PJ Hoops). The 6’4 explosive forward is a rebounding machine. The bounce, chase, and physical grab of the ball had me thinking about some of the better rebounders of the past. Kobby has all the physical tools and the battle is their too. When the skills develop with his physical activity Kobby has a chance to be a really nice prospect.
Aj Taban of Stillwater (PJ Hoops). When it comes to frame and physical mobility, Taban has the look at about 6’4/6’5 of a potential Elvis Nnaji type player potentially. Good size and agility that produces low post numbers, but also that raw young game of a player that could really grow over the years.
