There is a lot of talent in this division and it should be a fun race to watch unfold throughout the winter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size"><strong>First Team</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1381412' first='Davis' last='Kern'] (Linn-Mar): 19.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, 53.4 FG%, 41.6 3P%, 84.5 FT%</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A 6-8 forward who can score inside and out with remarkable efficiency, Kern was one of the best players in the state throughout the summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2075630' first='Martin' last='Brothers'], showing a bit of a mean streak that will make him even more dangerous as an offensive weapon and rim protector as a junior. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1199979' first='Anthony' last='Galvin'] (Cedar Falls): 13.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals, 42.4 3P%, 81.2 FT%</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Galvin was really good as a sophomore for the Tigers, and following the graduation of Dallas Bear, he'll be tasked with becoming an even bigger scoring threat from the perimeter. He's one of the best shooters in the state off the dribble and should have a great junior year for a Tigers team that is the best in the division. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1171693' first='Cade' last='Courbat'] (Cedar Falls): 12.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.6 blocks, 53.8 FG%</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are few better two-way players in the state than Courbat, an athletic, bouncy 6-8 forward who protects the painted area at an extremely high level. He has really improved as an offensive threat as well, showing more confidence in his ability to create for himself off the dribble. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1288908' first='Gage' last='Kampman'] (Liberty): 7.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 2.2 blocks, 51.5 FG%</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kampman is a fantastic defensive player who covers a ton of ground and provides versatility on that end of the floor for the Lightning. During his summer with the Barnstormers, he showed improved footwork and touch around the rim as well. He should average close to a double-double this season while also providing great rim protection. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2024 [player_tooltip player_id='1288920' first='Kanyon' last='Bryte'] (Western Dubuque): 13.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.4 blocks, 53.7 FG%</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Bobcats lost quite a bit to graduation, but Bryte, a versatile 6-6 forward, had a really good summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2075572' first='Iowa' last='Prep'] and was arguably the best player in the gym at our Top 250 Expo last weekend.
