Nietert also hit a big 3 in the fourth quarter for the Lions to help gain some distance. A sharpshooting 6-6 wing with great size, length, and a pure stroke from the arc, he can get to his shot pretty much whenever he wants to, but to his credit, like Matson, he didn’t force anything in this one. Instead, he found other ways to contribute, pulling down 8 rebounds and making some timely plays on the defensive end.

A sharpshooting wing with great size at 6-6, Nietert can shoot it really well from distance off the catch, knocking down 37.3% of his 3-point attempts as a junior despite getting off to a really slow start to the year. With his size, he can shoot it over his defender, and he’s also really good on the glass, pulling down 5.0 rebounds a game from his wing position. He’ll play his college ball at Wayne State.

A quick release and high arcing shot make him a difficult cover. Nietert attacks closeouts well and knows how to get paint touches as a counter by using his frame.
