Throughout the next few days, myself and Jeremy Brooks will be running through some of the standout performers from the event, and providing full evaluations of every player in attendance. This article will take a look at each player from Team 9.
A 6-1 lead guard who sees the floor really well, Lukkarinen is at his best when he’s creating for others, putting pressure on opposing defenders with his ability to create off the bounce. He has good footwork and tight handles that has pairs with a quick first step to get by defenders and into the teeth of the defense. He also showed a smooth release both off the dribble and the catch on his jumper.
Highlights
Flood is a really good shooter, both off the dribble and the catch. He played off the ball quite a bit for this team and was good with his off-ball movement, and he’s always ready to shoot it with his feet squared and ready to fire when he catches. He has plenty of range and showed some ability to handle the ball and create for his teammates as well.

A young wing with a huge wingspan, Coney is able to create some chaos on the defensive end of the floor with his length and athleticism. He covers a lot of ground on both ends of the floor with long strides, and he has good footwork when he’s putting the ball on the floor. He has good body control around the rim and is able to absorb contact and finish through it.
Kettmann was probably one of the best all-around defensive players in the gym on Sunday night, providing versatility and toughness on that end of the floor. At 6-4, he has the strength and length to combat bigger bodies in the paint, but also has the quickness and IQ to stay in front of smaller ball-handlers on the perimeter. He positions himself really well and communicates at a high level on that end. He’s really good on the glass on both ends of the floor and is a good enough ball-handler and passer to lead the break after pulling down a defensive rebound. He has soft hands and good touch around the rim, and the strength to finish through contact.
Highlights
Roeder had an up-and-down game in the one that I saw this group play, but when he was on, he was really good. At 6-5, he can stretch the floor with a high release on his jumper and a pure stroke. He’s a good help defender who can rotate over and block shots well, helping erase a teammate’s gamble, and he showed a lot of confidence in his improved ball-handling, leading the break on multiple occasions after pulling down a defensive rebound. With his size and his ability to contest shots and stretch the floor, he’s certainly a player that small schools around the Midwest should be looking into.
