Luketa was an impressive lead guard for Team 9 who led the way for them with his aggressiveness and athleticism with the ball in his hands. He did well to operate off the bounce and showed off an ability to knock down shots in the midrange and on the perimeter. Defensively, he wasn’t afraid to use his length and strong frame to make an impact and make his presence felt. He’ll be an exciting prospect to track over the next few seasons over at Lexington Senior High in NC’s 2026 class.
Tillman is a prospect who showed he could operate at either forward spot in the Team 9 frontcourt. He was a versatile presence who played big in the painted area while showing he could step out and knock down shots on the perimeter just as well. He’s an unsigned senior headed into his final season with Statesville High that DII, DIII and JUCO programs should get eyes on this season given his length and strength on the hardwood.
Matthews was another versatile presence for Team 9 who should he could operate at either guard role alongside Valliance Luketa Valliance Luketa 6’2″ | PG Lexington Senior | 2026 State NC for Team 9. He’s got underrated length he can utilize to maneuver to the rim and finish strong in traffic. Off the catch, he showed he could create his own shots with opportunities and get to the painted area and make things happen. He’s a name out of North Mecklenburg High with potential in the 2025 class to keep eyes on heading into a new season.
Phillips was a sizeable anchor and paint presence in the Team 9 fold who held his own on the interior. He’s listed at just 6-foot-4 but with his 215-pound frame, he didn’t hesitate to battle for position in the painted area on offense or battle in the painted area on defense for rebounds. He showed he could hold his own despite being just a member of the 2026 class in the state as a homeschool prospect.
Slaughter was an impressive piece in the Team 9 rotation who showed he could knock down shots on the perimeter off the bounce and off the catch when needed. He’s another unsigned senior with a knack for knocking down shots on the perimeter with consistency. When given opportunities, he showed he could do a few different things on the hardwood. He’s an unsigned senior out of Bandys High for DIII and JUCO programs to get eyes on.
Burnett was another presence in the Team 9 backcourt who held his own as a facilitator and scorer off the bounce. He utilized a nice blend of quickness and strength to work to his spots when given opportunities to make things happen. As he finds his niche in the Parkland High backcourt this season, look for him to grow in NC’s 2025 class this upcoming season.
