UPSIDE, UPSIDE UPSIDE. A long time ago when this kid was a 7th and 8th grader you could see the potential and the height and the skills would come out here and there. Well, it is time, he has arrived and his play this Spring and Summer really made his stock rise and not because he is 6’9 but because of the growth in his game. Chamberlain is playing with a high motor as he is chasing down loose balls and flying all over the place. He has turned into a big kid on the floor to a double-double machine that can be a force if used the right way. He still has a ways to go to fill into what he can really be. He is currently a 5 blocks a game, a 10+ rebounds a game and a 15PPG type of a player. In time he will get more mass when he is in college and he is going to improve his perimeter shooting and defending but he is not bad. He might have two more inches to grow and that might change his recruiting significantly.
Highlights
Tyrin is a big guard with major upside as his length is a game changer out in the perimeter. He is a prospect that will really make a big leap in the next two years as he gets stronger more efficient shooting out in the perimeter and attacking the rim. He is a must watch player over at Layton Christian Academy. Excited to see what he brings to the table playing more of a ball ahndler and creator role. With a few D1’s under his belt he is a stock riser that has upside.
If you are looking for a player that can catch and shoot and in general shoot the ball off the bounce or coming off of pin-downs Charlie is a must watch. His size at 6’5 makes him a more prolific shooter as he can shoot over bigger defenders. NJCAA schools should consider him here locally for sure but a few school in the surrounding areas should keep an eye on him as he has the ability to shoot 40%+ on a consistent basis. If you have a draw two big or a draw two PG he is a perfect piece to throw out there.
Highlights
Hunter is a full-scholarship type of player as he has the skills to land at a next level school and do the work and earn his minutes on defense and he can use his skills on offense as well. Hunter has some legit size at the lead guard position and his shooting and driving ability improves every year. Hunter is a great example of a player that has been showing growth in his game. He is playing the game at his own pace and his ability to pass and create. D2’s should be all over this kid as he can get to campus and make an impact Day 1. Stay tuned as he has ability to continue to raise his stock.
Low risk and high reward as a stretch 4. He can shoot the ball and he can do the dirty work rebounding, setting screens and running the floor. His defensive skills will get better with more experience as he can switch on multiple players. This kid would be an NWAC dream as he can spread the floor. Cale can play the big if teams want to go small and play some 5 out sets. he can be a complimentary 4 man with a bigger player posting because he can go outside and shoot, as you can’t sag off of him.
