Shelton is in line for a huge role at Owen County this season and if Saturday is any indication, he’s ready. Micah showed he’s comfortable putting the ball on the floor and attacking the paint or playing primarily as a catch and shoot player on the wing. With Teagan Moore gone, Owen County needs Micah to step up and he looks like he’s prepared for a bigger role.

Prince has been a standout on the camp circuit in recent weeks and his latest performance was no different. Likely the best slasher at camp, Kahnplaye was living in the paint on offense. Capable of finishing or making good reads off the drive, Prince continues to get better and playing with more talent around him this year will likely make him better and force less offense.

Mason is another prospect that has had good showings in the past couple of weeks on the camp circuit. A solid guard who can play point or wing, Miles is a well rounded player that does a little bit of everything well and can impact the game in all aspects of scoring, rebounding and defense.

A new name coming into camp, the guard shot the ball well on Saturday and made the most of his opportunities as one of the only 2026 prospects to come to camp. Louden still has a ton of time to develop but he is already an above average shooter and will only improve his well rounded game. He’s likely got some growing left to do also.
Webb is a good shooter with a quick first step who makes good reads with the ball in his hands. Owen is comfortable running a team and wasn’t afraid to give instructions to players he’d never met until the day of camp. Look for him to be a double figure scorer this season and be one of the best point guards in the first region this year.
Whitaker has long been one of my favorite “sleepers” in the 2024 class. He plays super hard and doesn’t force anything. At 6’6, Zane can block shots and is switchable on defense. He’s got a good skill set and fluid mechanics on his jump shot. Basically, I think Zane will be a steal at the next level.
Ashley, like his teammate Will Alexander Will Alexander 6’4″ | CG Edmonson County | 2024 State KY , were virtual unknowns coming into camp thanks to the geography of living in West Kentucky. His first impression was a good one and Layne should be in line for a breakout season after a modest Junior year.
Blue is another prospect from Western Kentucky that made the trek to Louisville. Rex is a stereotypical Coach’s son and plays like what you’d expect. He doesn’t get sped up. He’s solid on both ends. He makes open shots. He knows how to guard. You can see why Rex is one of the best All A players in the 2nd region.

Bode flashes a ton of potential. He’s tall, long and a good enough athlete. He needs to fall in love with the weight room to make the collegiate level but he still has time. Stone is a good shot blocker with solid timing on defense and is a good help defender. He’s comfortable shooting from three and could be a stretch 4 in college.
Jace is one of the most consistent players in the 25 class. Every time I see him, it’s a camp setting and every time I leave impressed with his motor and fearlessness. Birney will do whatever his teams needs him to do to win. He’ll guard the post, he’ll run the point, he’ll rebound and he’ll take the big shot if needed. Just a good and versatile player all the way around.
