But as we’ve gotten to see more and more of the 2026 class we’ve been able to add a good group of new players who impressed over the summer. These next guys have sprinkled in up and down the rankings and show a lot of promise to keep climbing. Here are some new additions to this update of the 2026 rankings.
Bomet is not your average point guard. He’s an aggressive two-way player who impacts the game with his quickness and length. He can harass opposing guards with his reach and timing defensively, forcing tough shots, creating turnovers, and then pushing the pace to get the break going the other way. On offense, he has the ability to break his man down with a tight handle and the threat of a quick first step, and really excels at the rim with good burst and some acrobatic finishes. His athleticism and length really highlight him as an intriguing point guard prospect.
Showki was pretty impressive with what I got to see this summer and after seeing him at the Top 250 Expo, he honestly should be even higher. His on-ball defense is tough and on the other end he does a great job putting moves together to get inside and then stays poised if it clogs up. He’s really tough to keep out of the paint and can draw a lot of attention with his ability to dice up the defense.
Highlights
The Renton sophomore is a strong guard who can handle contact near the rim and finish through defenders. He’s an above average rebounder from the backcourt with a high motor and the strength to push out bigger players. Great straight-line speed and a pretty good change of direction, Ili-Meneese is a kid who thrives getting downhill but still shows good patience in his attack.
Gray is a 6-foot-4 forward who displays plus athleticism in the open court, and though he’s most effective on the glass cleaning up misses and running the floor, he’s got enough athleticism to shift to the wings eventually. He’s another high-motor player who could really take off if he can improve the outside shot and his handle.
Highlights
One of the smaller guards in the rankings, Imperial is also one of the best shooters from deep. He plays with extreme confidence behind the arc and can get scorching hot from 3-point. He shows excellent focus with defenders closing in and has deep range. Imperial is one of a couple of younger guys for Life Christian that should make the Eagles a tough team this winter.
Another young player from Life Christian, Boyd is a bit of a wing/guard combo who can float around the court and impact the game from different areas. He can hit the three if you let him, shows good movement off the ball and can float into the high post to attack the rim or face up and hit. But Boyd really showed his grit on the defensive end and is a guy who can matchup with multiple positions.
Stinson is one of the many guys that have Cheney looking like a much stronger team in 2023-24. He plays a pretty heady game for a younger player and doesn’t often get outside of himself. He is solid across the board and contributes in a lot of categories. He’s strong going to the hoop, D’s up well on the perimeter, and can handle bringing the ball down and setting up others. He could be a guy to watch this season to make some big strides and help Cheney make a little run.
