One of the most underrated guards in the state, Showki is a true scoring threat who can light up the scoreboard from all three levels. Not only can he fill it up offensively, but he also excels at facilitating for his teammates, showcasing great court vision and unselfish play. His relentless energy and leadership on the court uplift his entire team, making him an invaluable asset every game.

Rakin is an absolute bucket getter, showcasing his scoring prowess from all three levels of the court. His ability to carry his team to victory has been on display all season long, consistently hitting clutch shots with unwavering confidence. Rakin’s smooth dribble work allows him to pick apart defenses and effortlessly find his spots. Widely regarded as one of the purest scorers in the state, his offensive game is both dynamic and reliable.

Showki has taken his scoring to the next level this season with several 50-point games, and a new school record 61-point outburst against Lindbergh on 24-of-31 shooting from the field, and 9-of-14 from 3PT range. The fact that he’s having this kind of scoring impact after averaging 9.2 APG last season just shows his ability to adapt to his team’s needs and provide some real dynamic play from the point. He’s currently averaging 36.1 points to go along with 4.5 assists, and making 44% from 3-point range.

Rakin is a fun player to watch. He picks apart defenses and plays with patience and precession. He handles the ball at an elite level, keeping it on a string and close to his body. He creates smoothly for himself and his teammates, being able to get his teammates open shots and find his spots with ease. He continues to get better as his high school career progresses but he is an under-recruited player in the state.

This season, watch out for Rakin, he is poised to lead his team with remarkable impact. His aggressive ball-handling, utilizing both hands with ease and leveraging his speed, makes him a constant threat on the court. His shooting is lights-out, confidently pulling up without hesitation and finding his rhythm early in games. Beyond scoring, he excels at identifying gaps in defenses, securing buckets, and seamlessly involving his teammates, elevating the entire team’s performance.

Showki was one of the better scorers in his league this past year but he’s also one of the more underrated true point guards in his class. Yes he scored over 20 ppg, but he’s also a very crafty dribbler who does a great job exploiting gaps, going through progressions, and making plays both with and without the ball to get the ball into the paint and work from the middle. He’s agile, smart, and patient but ready to go, and has been displaying all these qualities this spring with FOH EYCL. He’s got talent at all positions around him on this squad and has shown how he can impact a game as a legit facilitator.

Rakin has taken the next step in his game and has really come into his own as a top scorer in the class. His handles are elite and he does a phenomenal job at getting to his spots. Showki steps up when Sammamish needs him, being one of the clutchest players during the high school season so far. He defends just as good as he can score, stepping up and guarding the opposing teams best player nightly. He should start catching coaches eyes now as he is proving to be a D1/D2 level player.

Showki was pretty impressive in a tough loss to Seattle Prep, and although they didn’t get the win, Showki was nearly unguardable throughout the four quarters. He injected life into the offense with his constant penetration and pace, playmaking for others on the go, and dropping in some nice passes over the top to bigs by the buckets. He drew a bunch of trips to the foul stripe and was unrelenting in his attack. One thing that really stood out is how his feet and hands are in sync. He can make tough catches off bad passes and prep his feet to make instant moves to attack. The same applies to his moves off the bounce which makes him an incredibly tough cover.

Rakin is an extremely shifty guard who got consistently down hill in the paint throughout the day. Did well to mix up the timing of releases inside to counter shot-blockers, adjusting well midair. He was a fantastic distributor throughout the day too, seeing his open teammates on the outside. He was great at using his eyes to freeze defenders on the break as well.
