Ryan Morgan | Prep Hoops Scout
Super athletic guard who played with great hustle and energy throughout the tournament. Was a consistent factor in getting paint touches, creating drive and kick action, and forcing the defense to scramble. Made a bunch of tough finishes off a variety of gathers, showing the athleticism to go off one foot and jump with bigs at the rim, as well as getting to two, making decisions, and finishing strong through contact.

He’s a dynamic defensive threat who plays tough D on and off the ball. Has great reactions that help him make plays all over the court and really reads the game at a high level off the ball. He averaged 5.8 points and 4.0 assists for FOH at the first EYCL session and can really set things up with his shiftiness getting into gaps and aggressiveness attacking the interior.

Bomet came in off the bench and immediately started wreaking havoc against Kennedy. He got a couple of quick deflections, then tipped out a rebound that led to a breakaway bucket, and continued to win possessions and start breaks with his hustle and quickness to the ball. He was one of the more impressive defenders in the game and also showed off some creativity and athleticism on some downhill finishes.

I’m looking forward to seeing Bomet get more time on the floor with Garfield this winter because he’s shown the type of impact player he can be in the AAU season. He’s a true two-way guard who has the instincts to exploit lazy play on both ends. He plays with aggression, getting to the hoop and finishing over and around defenders, but he’s also proven to be an efficient shooter from downtown and can really provide a lot of different looks for his teams.

This Garfield guard is going to take over this spring/summer and be dominate next year with the Bulldogs as well. Lets start with his defensive ability, Bomet can move his feet VERY well. He is lighting quick with his feet and his hands arguably making him one of the best on ball defenders in the entire state of Washington. His vision is elite, as he finds his teammates with threading the defense. He is a special player.

The super shifty guard didn’t have a huge role last season at Garfield but he has all the makings of a playmaking guard who can get to the cup and harass the opposing PG’s on the other end. He has a long reach for his size and uses big crossovers, excellent footwork, and some nice touch to get shots up all around the paint. He should have a bigger role for the Bulldogs next season and could emerge as a name to know in the Metro.

Bomet is not your average point guard. He’s an aggressive two-way player who impacts the game with his quickness and length. He can harass opposing guards with his reach and timing defensively, forcing tough shots, creating turnovers, and then pushing the pace to get the break going the other way. On offense, he has the ability to break his man down with a tight handle and the threat of a quick first step, and really excels at the rim with good burst and some acrobatic finishes. His athleticism and length really highlight him as an intriguing point guard prospect.
