The 2025 rankings update is here as nearly 180 players make up the update. Point guard play is key for team's success and the junior class has talent at the lead guard position. Here are the top point guards in the 2025 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578536' first='Jaysean' last='Williams'], 5'10 Patrick School

Williams is the highest ranked lead guard in the update and should put it on display this season. The 5'10 guard has a tight handle and a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and finish around the basket. Williams has a nice touch on his floater and shoots the ball with confidence from distance. He is an underrated passer and gets deflections on defense. Williams is a speedy lead guard prospect who will be one to watch this season in the Garden State.

[player_tooltip player_id='1773151' first='Jaden' last='Myers'], 6'0 Union Catholic

Myers joins a talented Vikings' roster that is looking to repeat as Non-Public A champions. The Columbia transfer uses his handle effectively as he consistently gets past his defender and finishes around the rim. Myers does not get rattled by on-ball pressure and can also score in the mid-range. He has the ability to play off the ball as well and is a tough on-ball defender. Myers will shoulder part of the ball-handling responsibilities for Union Catholic this season, which will help his game in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411627' first='Jamir' last='McNeil'], 6'0 Middle Township

McNeil helped the Panthers win the South Jersey Group 2 title and will be looking to repeat as champions in 2023-24. The 6'0 guard attacks the basket strong as he can make shots through contact and can finish in a number of ways around the rim. McNeil plays with good floor vision as he gets his teammates involves in the half court and can thread passes to teammates. He is comfortable pushing the pace in transition and uses his length to create problems on the defensive end. McNeil is a lanky, lead guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411624' first='Peter' last='Mauro'], 5'10 St. Rose

Mauro has the ability to play off the ball as well, making him an intriguing prospect to watch in the 2025 class. The 5'10 guard has a nice release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. Mauro moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the halfcourt. He has a good handle and is an underrated defender. Mauro ended the 2022-23 season with three double-digit games and is looking to build off of that in 2023-24.

[player_tooltip player_id='1271427' first='Judah' last='Hidalgo'], 6'4 Paul VI

Hidalgo should see his production jump up this season as he's the Eagles' top returning scorer. The 6'4 guard has a good shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and rarely forces jumpers in the halfcourt. Hidalgo is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated passer. Hidalgo's ability to stretch the floor is something that will help his game throughout the winter.

Other Prospects to Watch:

Dwayne "DJay" Snead Jr, 6'1 Pennington

[player_tooltip player_id='1483438' first='Peyton' last='Miller'], 6'1 St. Peter's Prep

[player_tooltip player_id='1466430' first='Asher' last='Bradley'], 6'0 Oratory Prep

[player_tooltip player_id='1411630' first='AJ' last='Altobelli'], 5'11 Union Catholic

[player_tooltip player_id='1472517' first='Alex' last='Grospe'], 5'10 South River

The 2025 rankings update is here as nearly 180 players make up the update. Point guard play is key for team's success and the junior class has talent at the lead guard position. Here are the top point guards in the 2025 class.
