[player_tooltip player_id='933045' first='Noah' last='Payne'], 6'1 PG Peddie

Payne is the top available non-NJSIAA guard available and will be one to watch throughout the season. The 6'1 guard has a good handle, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finish around the basket. Payne has a nice touch on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He gets his teammates involved in the half court and gets deflections on defense. Payne is a scoring lead guard prospect who should put up big numbers throughout the winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406990' first='Lukas' last='Schmid'], 6'2 PG Blair Academy

Schmid has the ability to play on and off the ball, making him an intriguing prospect to watch. The 6'2 lefty attacks the basket strong as he finishes well around the basket and is unafraid of contact. Schmid sets his feet before he shoots and wastes little motion in his release. He slides his feet well on the defensive end and rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands. Schmid is a gritty, guard prospect who makes plays at both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2024585' first='Ethan' last='Maynard'], 6'3 SG Compass Prep

Maynard is doing a post-grad season at Compass Prep and should have a strong season. The 6'3 guard has a clean release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Maynard moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the half court. He has the ability to bring the ball up the floor at times and is an underrated defender. Maynard is a sharp-shooting guard prospect who should torch the nets in 2023-24.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150278' first='Sutan' last='Fitzpatrick'], 5'10 PG Covenant College Prep

Fitzpatrick joins Covenant College Prep as a post-grad and is slated to have a big season. The 5'10 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finish around the basket. Fitzpatrick can also score in the mid-range and knock down open jumpers on the perimeter. He pushes the pace well in transition and can get deflections on the defensive end. Fitzpatrick is a speedy, lead guard whose ability to run the offense will help his stock during the winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1156893' first='Keith' last='Brown Jr.'], 6'3 PG Life Center Academy

Brown Jr. is primed for a breakout season as he should have the ball in his hands more. The 6'3 guard has a crafty handle, which he uses to get by his defender off the bounce and make plays in the lane. Brown Jr. threads passes to teammates in the halfcourt and plays with good floor vision. He has the length to defend both backcourt spots and is an underrated rebounder. Brown Jr. is a skilled, lead guard prospect who will be making plays for Life Center Academy throughout 2023-24.
