Every year a new player emerges, we take a look at 10 potential breakout players from 3A.
One of the top bigs in the division is a legit candidate to lead in rebounds, block shots, and field goal percentage.
Look for the guard to be the glue guy for a Mater team expected to play in a lot of high stakes contest.
Highlights
Byers highlights the depth of the Mater program. The floor spacing guard, has good athleticism and could be a key scorer, as they compete for the 3A crown.
Saw Wright quite a bit during the Summer, the combination of he and Roman Rose Roman Rose 6’2″ | SG Boulder City | 2024 State NV in the backcourt makes Boulder City an intriguing contender. Wright is a player that can handle and shoot it at an above average level.
Highlights
It’s Chamberlain’s turn at Elko. The do it all forward has been charged with helping the program get to their 5th consecutive title game.
If you don’t know Marquicias you haven’t been watching. The guard from Wooster put up a superb junior season, averaging nearly 16 per game. Look for an increase in scoring along with an increase in notoriety for the guard from Reno.
Look for the addition of Smartt to add, size and skill to an already talented Hug squad. Smartt provides rim protection, along with some grab and go ability.
Lea is one of the best glue guys in all of the state. This year, fans can expect to see more offensive versatility from him for the reigning 2A state champs.
Taylor proved to be a difference maker for Mater throughout the summer. If his strong performance carries over, expect him to have a big impact for the Knights.
The young guard has a strong frame and good skill set. Look for him to have a say in the Hawks championship chase this year.
