is an all-around skilled prospect who plays winning basketball. On the defensive end, he can guard multiple positions thanks to his grit, strength, and IQ. He also applies pressure at the right times. which led to him coming up with just under 2 SPG (1.9). On offense, he can pour it in from downtown and can get hot (as evidenced in his game against Bishop Manogue). Stephens is also capable of getting to the rack if there’s a lane and he’s makes difficult finishes. Considering his upside, I think there’s a college out there that would benefit from his services next season.

jump-started the Vaqueros’ offense in the first quarter by pouring in shots from three-point land and adding another bucket. As the game went on, he continued to look for opportunities and capitalized on a few more chances from long distance. Stephens also pestered opponents defensively throughout the battle and certainly left it all out there. He finished with 15 points.

Fernley’s senior shooting guard, Bryce Dunagen-Stephens, made an impact with his three-point shooting, passing, and defense against Spring Creek. On the offensive end, he knocked down a pair of triples and added a mid-range jumper. Defensively, he used his athleticism and instincts to stay in front of his man and contest shots effectively.

has been on an offensive tear this season. He is assertive with the ball and gets downhill in a hurry when he catches defenders on their heels, consistently converting tough finishes through contact and capitalizing on and-one opportunities. Two of his best performances came against Bishop Manogue and Churchill County, where he poured in 26 points in each matchup. Stephens does not take possessions off on the defensive end either, averaging just shy of three steals per game. Considering his consistent impact on both ends of the floor, he is unquestionably a legitimate contender.

was also contributing in a variety of ways for Fernley. He was tasked with both facilitating and scoring. And you can tell that he knows to kick it to his fellow shooters if he feels the defense closing in on him. On the other end of the court, Stephens utilized his motor and quickness to apply good ball pressure and to gather steals. Expect him to continue to stuff the stat sheet this year.

will likely be making some waves with the Fernley Vaqueros this season. He is an agile guard that can slip by defenders and make tough lay-ups in traffic. He can also splash in shots from the outside and hits his teammates when they’re open. On the other end of the court, Stephens uses his athleticism to keep his man in front of him and he’s capable of forcing turnovers.

is a nimble guard that can make crafty maneuvers to get to the cup. He is shiftier than his opponents anticipate, and he also accelerates and decelerates at the right times. His change of pace helps him get to the free throw line, where he shoots 89%. Defensively, Stephens is good for a steal or two every game and occasionally he swats a shot.

is now ranked 15th. He is a very skilled ball-handler, and can slip out of situations where he is being pressured. His play against Democracy Prep in the state semifinal was impressive, and I liked how often he got to the line. Stephens can play some solid defense as well, as he’s quick laterally and stays active with his hands.

Stephens already came into the tournament with the reputation of a shooter. He didn’t dissapoint in the State Tournament. He has a strong upper frame, which allows him to easily shoot it from behind the college three point line. He was knock down in catch and shoot situations, nailing four threes in the semi final game.
