In this new series of articles, I will be showcasing each conference and predicting who could possibly win the MVP for the conference and see who could make each of the all conference teams in each one. This article will be about the 3A Greater St Helens Conference MVP and first team selections.

MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1450613' first='Hayden' last='Yore'] (2024) - Kelso HS

Hayden was named 2nd team within the 3A Greater St Helens Conference last year and in my eyes, took a big step on the court over the AAU season. He is strong on the court and drives the ball with confidence. He uses his body to his advantage, being physical inside the three point arc. Yore has made his game more complete since last season ended, having a smoother pick and roll game and showcasing his vision. His game is going to take another jump when the season begins.

Other MVP Candidates: [player_tooltip player_id='1450561' first='Payton' last='Stewart'] c/o 2024 - Kelso HS , [player_tooltip player_id='2021608' first='Dez' last='Daniel'] c/o 2026 - Evergreen HS

First Team Predictions:

[player_tooltip player_id='1450613' first='Hayden' last='Yore'] (2024) - Kelso HS - see above.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450561' first='Payton' last='Stewart'] (2024) - Kelso HS - Payton was named first team all conference last season and will be the only returning player from that list. Stewart is a big body down low and is arguably the strongest player within the conference. He is a match-up nightmare down in the paint and has some solid post moves. He's a monster on the glass and should have another solid season on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021608' first='Dez' last='Daniel'] (2026) - Evergreen HS - Dez played fantastic as a freshman last year, earning second team all conference honors. He is a gritty guard who stands around 6'0/1" but could easily be taller when the upcoming season begins. He gives 110% effort on both sides of the ball, attacking the rim smoothly and giving it his all on the defensive side. He's a player to watch who could also have a big season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1863246' first='Carson' last='Morningstar'] (2026) - Prairie HS - Carson is another player who I believe will have a big jump on the court next season. He stretches the floor very nicely, standing at 6'5" and is likely not done growing due to his age. He will have a bigger role on this squad next year alongside fellow 2026 graduate, [player_tooltip player_id='1863243' first='Cam' last='Newsome'].

Arthur Ban (2025) - Evergreen HS - In all honesty, I haven'y seen too much of Arthur on the court but he is an absolute MONSTER on the football field. He stands at 6'5" and could be the most athletic player in this conference. He finishes at the rim nicely and can knock down jumpers when needed. He was named 2nd team all conference last season as a sophomore and should see a jump in overall skill during his upcoming junior year.
