Jacob May
Jacob May
May is a skilled lead guard that definitely turned heads. He has excellent court vision, both up the floor and while penetrating through traffic. Speaking of penetrating through traffic, May has a quick first step and can drive with physicality. He does a great job turning the corner on the baseline and finding teammates cutting to or at the rim. May is a solid rhythm shooter off the catch and shoot.
Malone is a special talent that put it on display with SBG Finest U126. Let’s start with the obvious – the young man can flat out shoot the rock. He’s a 3 point threat both off the catch and off the bounce. Malone uses his quick handles to create space for his jumper and even has a slick little step back move that he can shoot off of. He’s not just a shooter though. He’s quick with the ball and can control tempo.
Chacun Anderson II
Chacun Anderson II
Anderson II definitely drew some eyes to his game this summer. He showed a big game on some big stages. While Anderson II is a terrific shooter, he’s really a true 3 level scorer. He can finish off the wing in transition and in traffic in a half court set. Anderson II has a very impressive mid range game as well. He can score even in a congested area and has some nice tough on his floaters.
Maciel has more than proven that he’s a player to watch. His ability to pass the basketball is a thing of beauty. Maciel doesn’t just pass, but it seems like his passes are always going downhill toward the rim. As a point guard he doesn’t just use the dribble to advance the ball, but instead gets it down the floor with the pass. Maciel has a pretty bounce pass that he can knife through traffic to cutting teammates.
Carey definitely drew some eyes to his game this summer. He’s a dynamic offensive player that can really be effective on or off the ball. Carey doesn’t need much space to get his jumper off, especially since he can shoot with 3 point range even with a hand in his face. He has a really solid mid range game as well. I like when he works right to left and gets to the free throw line for a pretty FT line jumper.
