Continue ReadingWe have been able to watch a lot of these players that will be joining the high school ranks and some will have an opportunity to suit up on different levels and hopefully more than a few will be able to make the varsity roster. We want to thank the Youngblood league as it has always been a stopping ground for a lot of the best players in the state. Most of the top players in each class above have been able to play on that stage. we will likely miss a few players and things will change but we will be putting out a Class of 2027 Rankings list here shortly. Although we might not get it right or perfect the first time the list comes out but we look forward to tracking this new batch of players that will be among the best in the country as Utah has been putting out some amazing talent in the past few years.
Players like Collin chandler who was among the best players in the country will return in 1 year and play at BYU. You have players like Jaxon Kohler who is suiting up for Michigan State and getting playing time.
In this Class of 2024 you have players like Dutch Dowdell Dutch Dowdell 6'6" | SG Olympus | 2024 State #310 Nation UT who will attend Harvard. You have players like Brody Kozlowski Brody Kozlowski 6'8" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State #103 Nation UT who is one of the top shooting forwards in the country.
The list goes on, so we are excited to get this list out.
A few player that we are excited to see are the likes of Mana Winitana Mana Winitana 6'3" | PG American Heritage | 2027 State UT who is a big lead guard that will get strong quickly and be a force quickly just like his older brother was. He was one of the eye catching players in the Youngblood League.
Stone Tia Stone Tia 6'2" | SF Cyprus | 2027 State UT has a few brothers that have come through Cyprus hat really changed the culture of Cyprus and he is a player that can be inserted and bring some energy and he has height and he will get strong because it is in the DNA. Not sure when he will see the varsity floor but Coach Tre Smith is one of the best at developing young talent.
Bode Sparrow Bode Sparrow 6'2" | CG Davis | 2027 State UT has been the dude in this class for awhile now and he has not disappointed. This kid is strong, has a motor and he has speed too. He can hit from deep but he can also get to the rim. The kid is playing varsity football and that tells you how mature he is and how physical he is as a incoming freshman.
Lehi has a couple of young players that we will keep an eye on. Avery Tukarawa Howe Avery Tukarawa Howe 6'6" | SF Lehi | 2027 State UT has potential and if he develops like we think he can he is going to be a common name you hear from. Saxon Young Saxon Young 5'8" | PG Lehi | 2027 State UT is another PG that will be ready to take over when this upper classman group graduates as it looks like Lehi is reloading with some young players.
Stay tuned as this Class has some really solid players.
