Expert Analysis
Tom Keller | Prep Hoops Scout
Winitana added depth with his resourcefulness throughout the contest. He showed his sneaky athleticism by playing around the rim. He added 7 points and was also able to move the basketball to others. He is a prospect who should garner division recruitment.

Winitana has been a consistent riser and continues to improve. Expect him to elevate his game further while at Wasatch Academy, putting him on the national radar. Playing against top guards in the country will challenge him, and we’re excited to see him take his game to the next level. He has the potential to be a D1 PG.

Would have loved to see this kid play against those EYBL, 3SSB and UAA teams on a daily basis as he has game and he is making the best of it playing at an all time high level. He seems bigger on the floor the way he covers ground and at times bates the offensive player to get to his defendive spots. He gambles and makes easy work of steals and turnovers. He has the athleticism to get back and recover. His help side defense is great and so is his weak-side rebounding. If you are a D1 JUCO you need to shoot your shot. He could be a good one.

Winitana lead his very talented UA Rise squad to an undefeated regular season heading into the Rise Finals. His strength and sheer tru PG skill set is just too much to handle. He is relentless and he finds ways to get everyone good looks. He can put his head down and score but he finds open shooters and with his ability to draw that extra defender he is just perfect for a catch and shoot player on the floor with him.

Strong, shifty and athletic and he might be one of those underrated lead guards that just goes a bit unseen. Excited to see the pre-season schedule to see if he matches up against some of the top local talent. He has been the best player on the floor a lot for American Heritage.

Best PG in the class starts the game off with a dunk, that is how his night started as he helped his team handle Mountain View. Winitana is playing basketball at a different pace than a lot of PG’s. Do not discount him because he plays at a small school. Winitan is a D1 prospect.

This kid is a high level and next level talent as he is a move the ball PG. He can score and get to the rim but he is really good at getting paint touches and finding open players. He can defend his position and that is why he has been getting D1 looks. He does play for a small school that does not play in a high caliber region but he has been able to do his thing against anyone as they have played a solid offseason and will likely play some bigger schools in the preseason as well.
