Hector Marquez | Prep Hoops Scout
If the predictions from the 5A State Tournament are accurate, we are in for a treat at both the grassroots and high school levels following the spring and summer seasons. Howe is a versatile wing player who demonstrates the ability to score from anywhere on the court. His range has improved significantly, he’s become much quicker, and he excels in close-range situations.

The playoffs have been his coming-out party as Howe has really turned the corner in his development. His ability to turn the corner on drives and get to the rim. His ability to power through contact has been special. He is lengthy and can shoot; he is getting strong and can play inside. Really, the versatility he shows. 29 points and 6 rebounds was impressive.

Howe is a lengthy wing that can play in different areas of the floor. His ability to spread the floor with some shooting at 6’7 helps open up lanes. When he is used as a screener, he is always a threat to either get inside and be a threat around the rim or pop and be a threat out in the perimeter. He could be a key role player in this game.

Howe clearly embraced his role as the biggest player on the court, doing strong work inside by scoring efficiently around the rim, cleaning the glass, and providing rim protection. His presence was immediately felt whenever he checked in, as Weber guards had much more difficulty finishing in the paint. He ran the floor well for his size and showed good discipline defensively, altering shots without fouling. Offensively, most of his production came from high percentage looks inside and free throws, where he was reliable late. A steady interior anchor who impacted the game without forcing offense.

is poised to make a significant impact this upcoming season. Possessing good length and an inside-outside game, he is expected to display a more aggressive style of play than ever before. If he consistently executes his aggressive approach and effectively utilizes both his inside and outside skills when needed, Howe will not only add valuable length to the Lehi team but also prove to be a versatile player.

Last year he was getting a feel for the game at this level and he has really excelled since then. He has been able to be more aggressive. His takes are stronger and he has solid shot selection. Good size and play making ability.

Tuk was as good as we though he would be. He has been able to add more physicality to his game and you can see it on his drives to the basket. He is able to create contact and still get to his spots on his drives. He is quicker laterally and he is a much more improved player overall but his footwork has been the thing that was standing out for sure. He could be a player that makes his case for time on the floor on a team that has continually produced talent and will be contender next year. Howe’s length and high ceiling could be of value this coming season for sure.

Tuk has a high ceiling and he is in a great spot at the high school level as Lehi has done a great job developing forwards that are not just working inside. Tuk has some solid skills and footwork to build on and as he gets stronger and fills into his body he is a player you have to watch as he does have a high ceiling.

Tuk is a promising young player that has some guard skills at around 6’5 +. He can keep it simple, rebound, defend and set screens and be effective but he can also do some work in the post with his back to the basket. Quick enough to get by players off the bounce that are bigger and his shooting is coming along.
