I did an article earlier in the week about names to stash for the future, and here's another group of young guys to know who are a little more game ready to make impacts as soon as this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2173114' first='Ohmono' last='Bomet'] Garfield '26

It will still be tough to crack the backcourt rotation at Garfield but Bomet has the skills to be an impact name off the bench. He can affect the game on both ends with a long reach and quick feet to tip passes and harass ballhandlers. Those skills translate to the offensive end too, where he's a really effective slasher with a big crossover and burst to consistently get to the rim and convert some tough finishes. He's a really aggressive player and could be a name that catches some attention at Garfield this coming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2173096' first='Rakin' last='Showki'] Sammamish '26

Showki could step into a decent role this season as one of four returning varsity players. He's a pretty smooth offensive player who can create off the dribble, slice inside and get to the rim, and also exhibits a nice jump shot. He's a quick thinker that shows the kind of reactions and instincts with the ball that help him get the first step on defenders. He had a good summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2076514' first='Local' last='Hoops'] and could be ready to step up in a big way this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1863253' first='Cody' last='Bennion'] Auburn Mountainview '26

Bennion is a guy who hasn't even been hooping that long but already has shown a lot of growth in a short time. He's only 5-foot-11 but there's a lot of power and burst in his lower half, and while he's still learning how to attack, he shows a lot of promise as a kid who can shoot the three at a good clip and pick the right times to attack lanes to the hoop. He's a hard worker too, who will add a lot to the defensive end and can be a factor out in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1685494' first='Colton' last='Adams'] King's '26

Adams started for King's last year and showed he can fit right in at the varsity level to contribute while also playing smart ball and limit mistakes. In the summer season, he showed a pretty balanced offensive game, knocking in some shots from downtown while also being able to work his way to the hoop and show some strength to hit contested shots inside. He's a good athlete too and should contribute with some rebounds and defense, and is just a guy that will do a lot of little things to affect the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1863194' first='Pierce' last='Bierlink'] Quincy '26

Bierlink was one of three guys who averaged over 20 points per game for the Jackrabbits last season and there's no reason to think he can't build on that this winter. He's a confident guard who can light it up from long-range, has grown as a passer and started to show more fight defensively toward the end of summer. He's got that killer instinct with the ball and will be a big reason why Quincy is a team to watch in the 1A.
