This year was no different as new names emerged and top prospects battled it out. Here, I’ll break down a few players with intriguing long-term potential.

Galen Roberts Galen Roberts 6'6" Midtown | 2027 GA
Galen Roberts Galen Roberts 6’6″ Midtown | 2027 GA will certainly be one to keep an eye on at Midtown in coming years, carrying some scary long term potential while currently able to dominate against other 2027s using his size and athleticism. Roberts was constantly attacking the rim and finishing over defenders, had a couple of dunks as well. His scoring numbers were amongst the best at the camp. With the right support system around him, Galen Roberts Galen Roberts 6’6″ Midtown | 2027 GA could have a very bright future ahead.
Lukas Romine Lukas Romine 6’4″ | SF Hebron Christian Academy | 2027 State GA was a crowd favorite amongst evaluators on Sunday, largely because of his high motor an intriguing physical tools. I couldn’t help but notice Romine’s extreme length and huge shoe size, both leading me to believe that he could eventually reach 6’7 or 6’8. He was extremely effective as a rim protector, turning away layups left and right. I love the way that he runs the floor and battles for boards too. Romine’s skillset still has room to grow and his best basketball is certainly ahead.
CJ Jordan
CJ Jordan
CJ Jordan helped himself tremendously on Sunday, immediately jumping onto the radars of scouts and coaches in attendance. Jordan is an athletic 6’5 but can produce all over the floor and he played a very positionless role at the camp. At times, Jordan would be running the point and other times he was bullying smaller defenders inside. The size, skill, and athleticism that Jordan possesses right now are all signs that he could be a star in the making.
Will Russell
Will Russell
Will Russell was tabbed a player to watch prior to Sunday’s camp and at 6’6, he wasn’t hard to locate anyways. Russell was easily one of the most consistent players we saw, his combination of size and skill ultimately separating him from the pack. The Team Curry product is also active around the rim and tallied an impressive collection of blocks and rebounds. Will Russell is definitely a name to hold onto as he enters his freshman year at Eastside.
AJ Williams
AJ Williams
I was enamored by the long term upside of AJ Williams all afternoon and that was before I caught word that he’s only an 8th grader. Williams is a big point guard with excellent guard skills, able to navigate in tight spaces and score on multiple levels. By the looks of his lower half, Williams still has a few inches to grow too. The development of Williams is definitely worth tracking and wherever he lands for high school will be getting a future superstar.
