Kayzzin was one of the biggest Stock Risers in the most recent Prep Hoops SC Rankings. He had a terrific Summer playing with Upward Stars Upstate Harvey and Byrnes High School. McDowell is a premier shooter and has near-limitless range. During the Grassroots Season, it felt like Kayzzin would have a 5 Made Three Game twice a weekend to help boost Upward Harvey to one of the better Seasons in the State. McDowell received his First Collegiate Offer from West Virginia Tech on July 23rd.
Owen is one of the more under-the-radar players on my Summer Standout List, but he quickly became one of my favorite players to watch. Stewart has a great balance in his game and can play in several different roles depending on his team. In particular, Owen had a great close to the Summer, putting up stellar performances in June at the Sizzlin’ Summer Shootout with Mauldin High School and in July at the Phenom Hardwood Classic with Upward Stars Upstate Harvey.

Scott had the busiest Summer of anyone in the State of South Carolina. Whether it was his standout performances at the Pangos All-American Camp (Co-MVP) and Jayson Tatum Elite Camp, his EYBL Season with Team United, his June Live Period Dominance with Lexington High School, or even his recent adventures with Rod Wave Elite, Cam rarely had a weekend off. And despite being Prep Hoops’ #1 Player in the State, he is still improving his game. Scott will make his College Decision on August 11th between a Top 6 of Auburn, Alabama, Oregon, South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Texas.
Robert Moore Robert Moore 6’6″ | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2025 #232 Nation AZ had one of the better seasons in the 3SSB 16U Division. Robert finished 4th in Points Per Game at 18 and Tied for 1st in Made 3s Per Game at 4, boosted by a big week at the Palmetto Road Championships in Rock Hill helping Upward Stars 3SSB SE go 4-2. Moore continued his hot play into the month of August, where he earned an offer from the College of Charleston while attending their Elite Camp. He also holds offers from Coastal Carolina and Georgia State.

Franklin Davis Franklin Davis 6’3″ | SG Landrum | 2024 State SC rounds out Part One of my SC Summer Standouts. Davis has all the physical attributes to dominate at the High School Level and have an impact at the College Level. It felt like Franklin was on top of his game every weekend during the Grassroots Season with Next Level Elite and was even better with Landrum during the June Period. He is already a 1,000 Point Scorer for the Cardinals but what is even more impressive is his Shot-Blocking as a Wing. Davis currently holds offers from Emory and Henry, Limestone, Bob Jones, and Lees-McRae.
