Kowalski is a very deceptive athlete around the baseline area. Cooper has developed some perimeter skills so that can step-out and knockdown some jumpers from time to time. He runs the floor very well like a guard at times and shows to have very good length.
He plays very active in the passing lanes and seems to be quick leaper on the floor. Cooper was a nice addition to the Hurricanes roster a year ago after coming over from nearby Stratford HS.
Turner is just all-around good athlete for the Eagles down in the Lowcountry . Qayden who is currently playing football looks to stalk the baseline during the basketball season.
Turner has good skill set to show his versatility all through the backcourt. He can handle the rock, take a player off the dribble or simply create for himself or his teammates. Qayden averaged 12.3 ppg, 8.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists last season for the Eagles. Turner really likes to have the ball in his hands and can create mismatches on the floor with his versatility.
Can the Eagles make a good run this season in SCISA Class 3A?
Highlights
Ray didn’t play on the Grassroots Circuit this past season. He helped the Cavaliers win a SCISA Class 2A State Championship last February. Brock is a back to the basket big, bodied post player.
He has lost some pounds (30 pounds) last we saw him play in June at the Cathedral Academy Playday for the Generals. Brock has very soft hands to catch anything thrown in his direction. He has improved his game every year it seems since we first saw him play as 9th grader for the Cavaliers.
Ray still has his best basketball in front of him and being a true big in the paint he will find himself on a roster come next fall.
Robinson is simply one of the best shooters in the 2024 Palmetto State. Taye shoots the ball at a very high clip at all times and never seems to force his shots. He’s extremely effective from behind the arc with his shot. Taye is always ready to receive the ball in the pocket.
He keeps your team in the game with his shot making – saw him personally make 6 in a row in a game this summer without blinking an eye. SWEET Stroke – College programs can always use SHOOTERS.
Anderson helped the Eagles to a (24-5) a season ago. Isaiah plays down in the post for the Eagles where he averaged 12.5 ppg and 8 rebounds last season.
Anderson a football player also excels as a wide receiver and defensive end for the Eagles. He plays his game on the hardwood down in the paint and working from side to side on the block. Isaiah has no problems mixing it up down low and playing through contact. Anderson uses a nice drop-step move and shows to have good footwork around the bucket.
The Eagles have plenty of talent a good run this season in SCISA Class 3A.
Mauldin a left-handed forward showed some good flashes this summer on the Grassroots Circuit with the Charleston Raptors. Clyde carries a very strong academic background really likes to play from the short corner at times. He can knockdown the mid-range jumper or simply be johnny on the spot to make a bucket.
He’s constantly moving towards the ball and always seems to be in position to make an impact.
Clyde will join up with Robert Moore on this Porter Gaud Cyclones roster this season in SCISA Class 4A this season.
Carter made the trip down to Chuck Town this Grassroots season to play with the Charleston Raptors. Evan a left-handed combo forward does his best work on putbacks and opportunities he creates on the floor. Carter could be an ideal rim-runner at times or simply stop and pop from the short mid-range game.
Evan runs the lanes very well and really looks to score the ball in multiple ways at times.
The Cardinals have plenty of talent to be standing come late February this season in the Sumter County Civic Center.
Burton is a slender-sleek forward for the Barons and Head Coach Rip Ripley. Daniel feels comfortable playing face-up to the basket from 15 feet in at times. He will look to challenge and alter shots on the defensive end of the court.
Burton glides over the floor with his long and rangy frame. He has good bounce and can be a rim-protector moving forward. Daniel still must add weight and strength for the next level.
Can the Barons be the sleeper this season in SCISA Class 4A?
White is just another piece to this talented Eagles squad. Elijah looks to be leader here for the Eagles. White could be an ideal stat sheet stuffer at times for the Eagles with his play from the backcourt.
White averaged 9.8 ppg, 4.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists last season. Elijah likes to attack the baseline and switch’s hands very nicely on the way to the cup.
Highlights
Wilkins is back for the Knights this season in Spartanburg. Chris is an undersized player who really lacks a true position on the floor. Wilkins has a strong frame and generally likes to play close to the cup down in the paint.
Chris gets to the foul line a lot with his ability to play through contact down in the paint. Wilkins averaged 13.5 ppg and 6.9 rebounds last season for the Knights. He does a nice job of finishing drives to the cup. The closer to the basket he’s the most effective he is with his play.
