Brock Ray
About Brock
Expert Analysis
Bret Swanson | Prep Hoops Scout
Ray didn’t play on the Grassroots Circuit this past season. He helped the Cavaliers win a SCISA Class 2A State Championship last February. Brock is a back to the basket big, bodied post player.
He has lost some pounds (30 pounds) last we saw him play in June at the Cathedral Academy Playday for the Generals. Brock has very soft hands to catch anything thrown in his direction. He has improved his game every year it seems since we first saw him play as 9th grader for the Cavaliers.
Ray still has his best basketball in front of him and being a true big in the paint he will find himself on a roster come next fall.

Brock is a big-bodied post player down in the paint. Ray plays up in Moncks Corner over in Berkeley County. Ray has a great set of hands and really does a good job of playing with his back to the basket. Brock can step-out for a short face-up jumper from time to time. He really needs to get more touches in games with some guards to feed him the rock. Ray is a legit space eater down low that really plays off the grid down in the Lowcountry ‘ last=”].

Brock is a BIG BODIED post player at a small SCISA school in Moncks Corner. Ray has a great set of hands and catches anything thrown his way in the paint. Brock plays with his back to the basket and still needs to figure out to get more playing time and stay out of foul trouble. He’s best suited in a half-court grinding out setting where he can get some touches. Brock has a nice touch from the foul line.
