John Clemmons
John Clemmons
John Clemmons has been producing at such a high level over the past few months. He has one of the highest ceilings of all the players I saw over the weekend, as he mixes a 6’6 frame with athleticism, solid strength, and a perimeter skillset that makes him tough to guard. Started off the game I watched by attacking the basket with a purpose and converting on some tough looks through contact. As the game wore on, he started to go to work on the perimeter where he created space with ease before elevating into mid-range/three point shots. You don’t see a lot of guys at 6’5/6’6 who can create space and knock down shots like he can. When he’s not putting points on the board, John is a strong rebounder with the ability to high point the ball and secure it with his long wingspan.
I only got to see Brooks for roughly one half of basketball before he went out with an injury early in the 2nd after coming down awkwardly off a dunk, but that was still more than enough time for him to impress. Playing up at the 17u level, he took over towards the end of the first draining a few threes, powering his way up around the rim, and showing a quick first step for his size to beat his man from the perimeter and explode to the basket. Capped off the first half by spinning on the perimeter to beat his man, and exploding off the floor for a powerful one handed dunk.

Lucas Impey
Lucas Impey
Lucas is a versatile player for a talented AUSA team. At 6’7 he has a strong frame that allows him to operate as a wing or forward depending on what lineup his team goes with. Strong frame allows him to go to work against smaller wings on the block, but if you put a bigger forward on him Lucas can stretch the floor and knock down threes. Showed off some explosiveness as well getting out into the open floor for a transition dunk in the second half against LA Broncos. Was often tasked with defending smaller wings, and had no problem moving his feet with them on the perimeter.
Cartier has some impressive physical traits as a 2026 prospect playing up at the 16u level. He came in off the bench and made an immediate impact as he threw down a dunk with a contesting defender trying to chase him down, and shortly after he attacked a teammate’s miss and tipped it back in in traffic. Made some strong finishes through contact throughout the game, showcasing impressive body control in the process. His team came up short against a tough Pride Roc Elite squad, but I liked what Cartier showed playing up a grade level.
Charlie impressed on opening night, helping lead his Minnesota Fury team to a win over NEBC. Had a pair of plays where he showcased his explosiveness off two feet, cutting backdoor and elevating for a pair of alley-oop dunks. At 6’4 not many guys have the ability to elevate off two feet like Charlie can. Throughout the game he pulled in rebounds, defended wings and posts, and attacked the rim at a high level. Excelled at taking a dribble hand-off and getting downhill where he was then able to finish on-balance at the rim. Flashed range beyond the arc as well.

Eden Hobbs
Eden Hobbs
Eden was a consistent performer for AUSA Team Ed. When his team needed a bucket, Eden was one of the players they turned to, because he’s so good at getting to the basket for high percentage looks. He has a strong frame at 6’4 to go along with some explosiveness around the basket. Showed he can finish above the rim with ease in transition, and can also hang in the air for acrobatic finishes in the half-court. Was just about unstoppable in the open floor while also showing he can beat his man baseline and finish from difficult angles.
Broderick is a long and agile wing for LA Broncos. Was able to make plays using his athleticism to attack the basket and finish, while also flashing a nice pull-up jumper. Has a high release and gets good elevation on his shot making it difficult to contest. Stood out defensively with his ability to switch on to just about any spot on the floor while providing an additional shot blocking/rebounding threat with his long frame.
