Van Collins Van Collins 6'4" | SG Shawnee Mission Northwest | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-3 guard, 2025, Shawnee Mission Northwest, MOKAN:
This guy’s midrange game is one of the best around. He can get shots in the paint and within 15 feet off the bounce, or cutting to catch. He’s got a high release and a knack for getting shots off. His combo of power, length and agility makes him productive in the high-percentage shot range. He can hit from deep, and he also can get to the goal, but he makes his greatest impact breaking down a defender to get to his jumper.
Merak Greinert Merak Greinert 6'2" | SF Olathe Northwest | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-1 guard, 2025, Olathe Northwest, MOKAN:
Greinert isn’t just a scorer. He brings together a nice set of skills to impact the game. But he showed at the Hardwood Classic that there’s a lot of scoring ability in his game that he has yet to unleash on the Olathe Northwest varsity. He could be classified as a small forward for his production around the goal. He takes the ball strong to the hole. He plays through contact and can finish. He can penetrate through defenses and hit in the midrange or get clear to the goal. He has a nice shot and good range too.
Ethan Koehn Ethan Koehn 6'2" | SF Circle | 2024 State KS , 6-foot-3 forward, 2024, Circle, SSA (pictured):
After a standout junior season for Circle, Koehn is winning further respect for his work for SSA. He is a tough, powerful forward who can face the goal, post up, or fan out to the wing. He showed he can put the ball on the floor to get to the goal or back down a defender to set up a jumper. He scores a lot of garbage buckets because he works so hard without the ball. He’s got good range, too, which makes him a tough guy to defend. The best part about Koehn is how productive he can be without being the focal point of the offense.
Ben Nicholson Ben Nicholson 6'5" | C Great Bend | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-4 forward, 2025, Great Bend, SSA:
He was last listed at 6-foot-4, but Nicholson looks plenty longer than that this summer. He’s a rail-thin wing who moves without the ball to hunt shots. He can really light it up from deep, and with his length, it’s hard to take the shot away from him. He can put it on the floor and plays with surprising strength and toughness. He can get some buckets off offensive boards and is good shooting in the midrange off the catch.
Jaret Sanchez Jaret Sanchez 6'5" | SF Shawnee Heights | 2025 State KS , 6-foot-3 forward, 2025, Shawnee Heights, PAC 16:
Sanchez can do a lot of things, but he’s first and foremost a shooter. The big wing can get his shot off and has great touch from long range. His size and power make him a tough guy to deal with in the paint, so it’s tough to know how to defend him. Sanchez is particularly adept at running the floor in transition to get to a spot for a 3. This guy could be one of the best long-range snipers in the state the next two years.
