AAU returned to Las Vegas for the first live period since before Covid happened, and there were multiple big time tournaments featuring some of the top teams from across the country. It was the perfect setting for the hundreds of college coaches in attendance and scouts that made the trip, as we got to see the top talent in the country.

Here's a look at some of the standouts that I saw from New England.

[player_tooltip player_id='1487314' first='CJ' last='Cox'] | 6'2” WG | Middlesex Magic 2024

Cox may have done more for his sock than anyone I saw in Vegas, as he shot the absolute lights out for the Magic in the Sport Radar Championship and he put up big numbers throughout the weekend. The 6'2” off guard showed his ability to stretch the floor with very deep range, he made tough shots consistently even with a hand in his face, he showed his ability to get downhill and make plays for others and he did a good job defensively too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489278' first='Luka' last='Toews'] | 6'1” PG | Middlesex Magic 2024

Toews committed to Boston College over the weekend after running the show for this Magic team that won the UA Championship, and he showed a lot of what their looking for as he's highly skilled and a true leader. He's shifty off the bounce with the ability to change speeds and touch the paint at will, he ran the pick-and-roll effectively and made great reads when he turned the corner, he shot the ball very well from deep showing range out past the NBA line and he is a natural leader on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1487325' first='CJ' last='Happy'] | 6'9” C | Middlesex Magic 2024

Happy had himself a great weekend too, as the Princeton commit showed he could be an immediate impact player in the Ivy League with his blend of size, athleticism and a budding skillset that will only get better with time. The 6'9” big man is a very good athlete for his size as he can get up and down the floor and is an explosive finisher above the rim, he competes on both ends of the floor, he's a good rebounder and rim protector and he's willing to do the dirty work with a blue collar mindset to help his team win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1205156' first='Andre' last='Mills'] | 6'4” WF | Mass Rivals 2024

Mills has rose to becoming a national level recruit over the past few years, and his blend of size, athleticism and high motor have always made him productive, but the way he's developed over the past few years has turned him into a prospect with a lot of tools that will translate to the next level. He plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor, he uses his athleticism to finish above the rim and rebound, he can make shots from deep off the catch and he is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1206441' first='Kur' last='Teng'] | 6'4” WG | Mass Rivals 2024

Teng is one of the best prospects in all of New England, and he put on a show with his ability to score the ball in so many different ways and fill it up in bunches which he did all weekend. He had multiple big time performances showing his ability to make shots from deep on the move and with effortless range, he put it on the deck and attacked the rim hard, he made plays defensively and he was very efficient in his ability to score the ball from all three levels.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489329' first='Umari' last='Seney'] | 6'3” CG | Mass Rivals 2024

Seney is perhaps the most underrated and the biggest unsung hero on this Rivals team, as he does all the little things at the guard position that make his team better while also being able to score it when his team needs him to. He uses his long arms to get deflections and challenge shots defensively, he plays with good pace and changes speeds off the bounce to get open and he finishes well around the rim, he can make shots from deep and he plays with a good IQ and feel as well.

Warren Keel | 5'11” PG | Mass Rivals 2026

Rivals are a team that has never shied away from playing younger players up if they're good enough, and Keel is playing two grades up and was still a major factor and one of the best guards in Vegas that I saw. While he may not be the biggest guy he controls the game and handles pressure very well, he's shifty off the bounce with a great handle and the ability to touch the paint, he's a skilled shot maker and he plays with poise and IQ well beyond his years already.
