Eli Benning
Benning is a small quick guard that does a great job of getting to his spots. He is great at passing it with both hands and loves getting the ball up the court quickly to be able to give his teammates a chance to get easy baskets. Although he is very quick, he understands how to play at different speeds, which gives him an advantage when handling basketball. He is very good at getting in the lane to get his teammates open shots in the spots that they are most comfortable in.
Collin Laws
Collin Laws
Law is a lanky guard that is very abnormal in his ability to make shots. When he goes to the whole, he can finish with either hand and consistently plays hard. He is a threat on the defensive end by taking pride in being the first one to get to loose balls and always crashing the boards. He plays with great energy, and it seems as if he never gets tired. I see Laws as a guy that does a little bit of everything to help a team win, but he can easily go unnoticed if you aren’t paying attention to the little things he does.
Bailen Nickens
Bailen Nickens
Nickens’s presents on the court are obvious as soon as you walk into the gym. When he gets on the court, he is more than just a big kid that takes up a bunch of space. He does a great job being active around the rim by blocking shots and redirecting them as well. When he gets the ball on the perimeter, he isn’t shy about making a decision with it by penetrating and kicking it to an open teammate or being aggressive and making something happen for himself.
Schafer is a guy that has a very explosive first step, and although he is small in stature, he loves getting to the whole and finishing amongst the taller guys. He can finish through contact with either hand and is good and makes off balance. When you think about floor generals, he is one of the first ones that comes to mind. He knows when to shoot the ball and when to pass and is very under control when he is the basketball in his hands.

Davis is a guy that is very agile for his size. However, he plays predominantly on the block for his AAU team. He has no problem grabbing the rebound and starting the fastbreak for his team. In the half-court setting, he understands how to find open space when his guards are penetrating to give them a clear passing lane to deliver him the basketball. He was given the ball several times off penetration from a guard in the lane, which ended in either and dunk or a strong finish at the rim, regardless of receiving contact.
Kevin Pescar
Kevin Pescar
Pescar is a bigger guard that can shoot the three and also finish around the room in transition. With his height, he can be a mismatch for multiple positions on the floor. He is at his best when he can run the floor and play fast. He would be a smaller guard’s favorite player to play with because of his ability to run the floor in transition and get his team easy transition points. His second effort when he misses a shot around the rim is what I loved consistently seeing from him throughout this first day of games.
