PH NorCal was there to shine the light on prospects we thought played well. We didn’t see all but we did see some standouts from NorCal
He’s a versatile player that has tuned his body, his 3-point shooting is improved. He did well running the court looking to find openings for a 3ptr, and using his body, and balance to finish around the rim. At 6’5 he’s was active on the boards. He’s always been a good ball handler with vision and passing.
Spring and Summer is about improving. Chavarin has not only improved his game, at 6’3 he’s not just an active player around the rim who gets rebounds, and scores in the post. He’s put the work in to improve his offensive guard skills. He’s playing like a guard strong drives off the dribble, putting up 3’s when open, he’s handling and passing. He’s thinking like a guard. He goes hard on defense, and runs the court.
Highlights
Kerrigan is one of those prospects who understands how to play the game. He’s productive at both guard positions. He’s a good ball handler, and passer who sees the court long, and short, he makes good use of his body to get to his spots off the dribble for mid-range jumpers, and into the paint. He’ll hit transition 3’s or spot up along the perimeter.
He’s a crafty under 6’0 point guard who gets a lot done on the court. He does an excellent job of running the teams offense, he’s a steady ball handler with vision and passing up court in transition or moving the ball around the perimeter. He takes and makes good shots, his mid-range off the dribble goes in, he’ll drop a 3, and make the big shot.
Kruger did an excellent job this weekend leading his team against quality competition. He showed himself to be a quality point guard that can be productive with the ball in his hands. He’s a heady player, a willing facilitator that looks to involve others while being a threat to get his own points. He found bigs cutting, passed up to shooters, and found finishers. He’s playing with confidence.
