Kymoni Hunt
Kymoni Hunt
Kymoni had his fingerprints all over the game in Pride Roc Elite’s win over Minnesota Select Fuerte. He’s lighting quick, and put that to use defensively as he was constantly pressuring the ball, and going in for double teams to force turnovers. I really liked how he was looking to push the tempo, and was often able to create numbers advantages for his team off a steal or defensive rebound. Just able to get into tight spots and make plays out of them with his vision. Facilitated at a high level but also showed some explosive pop to get all the way to the basket and finish against taller defenders.

Aidan started off strong for Starks Elite , converting on a tough and-one finish, and shortly after draining a three. He had a big second half as well, knocking down a handful of threes to help fend off a comeback attempt from Minnesota Heat . Even outside of the scoring, he impressed with his gritty rebounding and defensive versatility. The type of player who can take on so many different roles for this team depending on what they need to win.
Ross Liegel
Ross Liegel
Ross Liegel was a force in the paint on Friday night. Opposing defenders just didn’t have an answer for the D1 football commit. His combination of size, strength, quick feet, and touch allowed him to score at a high level out of the block, but he also showed the ability to take his man off the dribble from the perimeter on multiple occasions. Ross has a quick spin move and a strong drop-step to get his shots off around the rim. Really like his patience when catching on the high post or wing, and being able to dribble into a post up while staying aware of any incoming double-teams.
Johnnie Jones
Johnnie Jones
Johnnie was a force in transition in the win for Pride Roc Elite. His combination of length and athleticism made him tough to stop when he got a lane to the rim. Was sprinting the floor hard both with and without the ball, and then taking flight to finish at or above the rim. Also impressed with a few nice assists, getting into the paint off the dribble and then dumping it off to his 6’8 big man for some great looks at the rim. Defensively fit in well with Pride Roc ‘s high pressure play-style, as he’s able to switch onto multiple positions and continue applying ball pressure.
Logan had a solid showing helping lead ECI Prospects to a win over Real Phenom Ivan. At 6’4 he’s an explosive athlete off two feet, and he used that on both ends of the floor. Conklin was attacking rebounds off the rim and securing them with two hands in traffic. Offensively was putting himself into the right spots off the ball to catch and quickly get off the floor to finish at the rim.
Brooks really got going in the second half to help hold off a comeback attempt from Minnesota Heat . He started off the game looking to get going from beyond the arc, but in the second half made it a priority to get to the basket. That aggressiveness took his game to another level as the Heat didn’t have an answer for him. Brooks excelled at using a quick head-fake to freeze his man, and then blow by him along the baseline. Has an explosive burst and solid body control to elevate and score on the baseline, but he also did a nice job of keeping his eyes scanning the floor to kick it out to open shooters when help defenders slid in.
Highlights
Isiah was one of the bright spots for Real Phenom in a tough loss to ECI Prospects. Had a crazy sequence where he hustled back on defense, stuffed a dunk attempt with two hands, sprinted back up the floor, and put back a teammate’s miss with a dunk of his own. Towards the end of the game he beat his man off the dribble from the top of the key and threw down a left handed dunk right over the top of him. Athletic slasher with a long and lanky frame at 6’5 who can make plays on both ends of the floor.
