GRBA National Championship – Saturday Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The day isn't over yet at the GRBA National Championship in Fort Wayne, but I wanted to go ahead and get some content out featuring what I've seen so far. I was able to get eyes on some new prospects while also seeing some others that I haven't seen in awhile. This event is always a great way to finish off the summer and make sure evaluations are thorough, up-to-date, and accurate. The 5'11u0022 guard really played well on Saturday morning showcasing his shooting ability both off of the catch beyond the arc and off of the dribble in the mid-range. McGee certainly made an impression scoring somewhere around 30 points and nearly single-handily lifting TPE 2024 to a comeback before ultimately falling short against a very good Midwest BBall - Cincy Gold squad. The NorthWood big man looks to have some room still to grow, but even at his current height he is very effective around the basket. Pearson has good, mobile footwork, possesses enough strength to finish in the paint, and rebounds his area well. Also, the skill that really jumped off the floor for him was his passing ability. The 6'3u0022 guard bullied defenders off of the dribble with his size and strength when getting to the rim. He was able to drive it in a straight line down the lane lines going both directions and finished off of two feet with both his right and left hand. Playing in front of a baseline full of small college coaches on Saturday morning, the 6'6u0022 forward showcased his offensive skill level scoring 17 points in a win for [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] Black over 5Star 3SGB. Any small college in need of a skilled forward should add him to their list immediately.
