With the AAU travel season now complete, Prep Hoops Wisconsin breaks down the top available combo guards in the 2024 class...

No. 1 [player_tooltip player_id='1142122' first='Michael' last='McNabb'] (Grafton/[program_tooltip program_id='2076501' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'])

McNabb holds Division 1 offers from Northern Arizona and Albany as well as a D2 offer from Northern Michigan. IUPUI, Southern Utah, Valparaiso, Belmont, South Dakota, Appalachian State, and Mary are some of the other programs expressing interest. McNabb is a little unorthodox as a combo guard that just kind of plays the game his way. He's not overly reliant on his size or athleticism but likes to feel out defenders, move methodically on the floor, and just bait people into making mistakes. As a junior, McNabb had a monster season, going for 24 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists per game while playing alongside another D1 prospect at Grafton.

No. 2 [player_tooltip player_id='1160035' first='Tamarrein' last='Henderson'] (West Salem/[program_tooltip program_id='2076033' first='Wisconsin' last='Playmakers'])

Henderson just picked up his first Division 2 offer from the University of Mary. Helping lead West Salem to the Division 3 state title game for the second season in a row, Henderson averaged 11 points per game on a senior-laden squad. A vastly improving shot maker, Henderson's isolation scoring ability has reached new heights this summer. At 6-foot-4, Henderson is a strong pull-up jump shooter and can mix things up by being aggressive at the rim. A high motor guard, Henderson buys into the defensive end as well and doesn't take plays off. Bemidji State, Chicago State, Concordia St. Paul, Southwest Minnesota State, Western Illinois, Northern State, Washington University (St. Louis), and Wabash are also showing interest at this time.

No. 3 [player_tooltip player_id='1214393' first='Isaiah' last='Allen'] (Milwaukee Lutheran/[program_tooltip program_id='2076501' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'])

One of the fastest-rising prospects in the 2024 class, Allen holds a Divison 2 scholarship offer from Northern Michigan. He's also receiving interest from Milwaukee, Western Illinois, and a host of other D2 programs. Really good versatility from the guard spot here. Allen can play all three positions on the perimeter. At 6-foot-4, he's a high-rising slasher and smooth above-the-rim elevator. He'll knock down his open 3's and can play the point if you need an extra ball handler. Also a standout defender, Allen is a stopper on that end of the floor. Doing a little bit of everything for Milwaukee Lutheran, Allen posted 16 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists per game last winter.

No. 4 [player_tooltip player_id='1089686' first='Quinton' last='Lomack'] (Madison La Follette/NESYB Hoops)

A strong, downhill-minded guard that can get to the rim and draw a lot of fouls, few in the state are more physical and seek out contact like Lomack. As a junior, Lomack averaged 14 points per game while helping La Follette to a 17-8 overall record. Lomack is a bigger guard with terrific upper body strength. You put talent around him, he can be more of a facilitator, a willing passer, and shows the court awareness to make the right play with the basketball.

No. 5 [player_tooltip player_id='1142141' first='Derrick' last='Johnson'] (Dominican/[program_tooltip program_id='2076501' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'])

Johnson is one of the state's top shooters. The Dominican guard has an extremely quick trigger with extended range. Playing on a loaded Dominican squad, Johnson averaged 15 points, four rebounds, and four assists per game as a junior. He had a near 3:1 assist:turnover ratio and knocked down 78 triples in 26 games while shooting 42 percent from beyond the arc. Drury, Roosevelt, Hillsdale, and Missouri S&T are all involved.
