A tough defender, Spiva helped lead his team to a dominant showing in the first session of the camp as his team ran through the competition. With his motor and athleticism, Spiva was making an impact defensively and in transition. Able to get to the lane whenever he wanted to either score or dish to a teammate, Spiva was making it look easy in the open court. For Spiva, his biggest development this fall should be getting a more reliable pull-up jumper as he’s going to be a primary scoring option for Pickerington Central this winter.

Another slasher who made plays attacking the basket. Majors showed his ability to finish with either hand at the rim with a couple tough lefty layups. I was also impressed by his ability to score off one or two foot finishes in the paint as well. A capable shooter from the outside as well, Majors knocked down a corner 3-pointer in the one game I caught of his team. Look for Majors to have another big scoring year and see his name on the All State team for Division IV.
Maybe the most impressive shooter from the camp, Lindesmith was making it rain from the outside. Moved without the ball, extended his range well beyond the 3-point line and had a quick release off the catch. Shooting a high percentage from deep, his teammates started to look for him whenever he got space, and he typically made the defense pay if they left him alone. Lindesmith really came on at the end of the year with 20 of his 26 made 3-pointers as a sophomore coming in the final 10 games of the season. Expect Lindesmith to pick up right where he left off and be one of the top shooters in the GCL Co Ed in 2023-24.

The MVP of session II, Martin impacted winning for his team in a variety of ways. Martin might’ve led the whole camp in assists with his ability to push the pace and spread the floor for shooters. An efficient scorer as well, Martin didn’t force it often and shot a high percentage from the floor. A guard who helps you win, Martin is a high priority small college target and likely increased his stock in front of over a dozen college coaches on Wednesday.
