This class took a hit with several top ten players opting to leave for prep schools but the class still has a good depth of talent in it. Here’s a look at some new names in this latest update.
Gutman is a long and athletic wing who had a really strong showing at the NCAA live event in Shelbyville in June. Aaron plays a true wing spot in a 5 out offense at Walton so he’s able to showcase his playmaking and shooting. After getting some D1 interest in June, he could end up at that level in the future.
Highlights
Fairman is at his third school (and state) in three years but looks like he could have settled in at Ballard. Already playing the starting point guard role for the Bruins, Javeon had a good showing in June and looks like he can be a scholarship level prospect by graduation.
Coleman was actually put in the 2024 rankings for the last few months so we’re remedying that error in this update. Malachi has all the IQ and skill level that you’d expect from a coach’s son. Capable of taking and making tough shots, Coleman is one of the more underrated prospects in Louisville.
A late bloomer in the class, Jordan keeps improving and growing into a bigger role at Male. Limited to 14 games as a Sophomore, Keashawn had a strong enough AAU season to get on the Brad Beal 16u team. Jordan is an interesting prospect to monitor for the next year as he could really break out for Coach Haworth this season.
Kahnplaye had a big Sophomore season at Community Christian in Paducah last year and has recently announced a transfer back home to Louisville and will enroll at Western. Prince is a shifty guard who knows how to score the ball at a high level. It will be interesting to see how well he meshes with what’s left of the Western roster once the transfers are finished.
