Continue ReadingJosh Hill Josh Hill 6’10” | C Wheeler | 2024 State #167 Nation GA has been a very hot name over the past few months and after a couple of strong showings during the live periods, his recruitment has gained some high-major traction. The physical traits jump out right away, 6’10 and incredibly long. He has a great motor around the paint, often racking up a ton of blocks and rebounds. He’s a confident shooter from the perimeter as well and has some touch rarely fund in 6’10 forwards. Holds offers from Xavier, Marquette, Arizona State, California, and more.
Ryan Williams Ryan Williams 5’11” | PG Hiram | 2024 State GA helped himself tremendously this summer as the lead guard for Wood Elite and proved he can compete and even shine on the biggest of stages. Williams was fantastic during the two July live periods, hitting shots from all over the floor and scoring in bunches against several high-major guard prospects. While he lacks in size, Williams excels in other areas such as IQ and ball-handling. Williams currently holds a few D3 offers but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him pick up a few D2s as well.
Soyoye is hard to miss when he steps onto the floor, a 6’10 center with a college-ready body. He shines on the defensive end, frustrating opposing bigs with his height and length. Offensively, Soyoye’s back-to-the-basket game is still rounding into form and he still has a lot of room for growth on that end. With a year or two to develop, Soyoye could be a difference-maker at a LM/MM program. Received his first offer from Missouri State in June.
John McQueen John McQueen 6’5″ | SF Eagle’s Landing | 2024 State GA made his return this summer after sitting most of his junior year with an injury. It didn’t take McQueen long to get back in his groove and remind us of the talent that he possesses. McQueen is a big, strong guard at 6’6 that has a tight handle on the rock and a smooth outside jumper. He provides a ton of positional versatility, able to run the point in some jumbo packages or play a forward position if you want to go small. He should play a vital role at McEachern this year and should see some LM/MM offers trickle in soon.
I’ve been a fan of Mike White for a while now and his name began stirring up chatter amongst college coaches in July. White returns as the primary scorer for Mountain View and the White-Blair duo will likely surprise some people this year. He’s a stockier guard that can score at all three levels and uses his body well to embrace contact around the rim. He’s a strong ball-handler capable of running the point for a college program. While the biggest question lies on the defensive end, the effort certainly isn’t lacking. Reinhardt was the first to offer back in June.
