2024 Class: Top Scorers

The St. Thomas More small forward has all of the tools necessary to become an elite scorer at the next level. He has a good frame, is athletic, and has fast-twitch muscle which allows him to get to the rim in a hurry. Around the rim, McCottry is slick and skilled. He does a nice job finishing through contact in the paint. I look forward to seeing McCottry play this winter. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1089682' first='Nick' last='Janowski'] -- SG -- Pewaukee</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Janowski is going to develop into a great player at the college level - I'm almost certain of it. The Pewaukee shooting guard is lethal on the perimeter. When left open from long range, Janowski is almost automatic. I like what he has shown as an isolation scorer recently, too. In the mid-range, Janowski does a nice job of backing down his defender and then shooting over them. Janowski is going to put up some huge numbers this winter, and I can't wait to watch him play. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1142142' first='Jaquan' last='Johnson'] -- PG -- Pius XI</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Johnson may not be as polished of a scorer as some of the other prospects on this list. But the point guard is certainly just as effective. When Johnson puts his head down and decides to score, there aren't many defenders who can successfully slow him down. He does an excellent job slashing to the rim and converting on difficult layups. Johnson is an explosive athlete who can leave opposing defenders in the dust. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1142122' first='Michael' last='McNabb'] -- SG -- Grafton</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McNabb is a crafty, creative scorer who can get his buckets in a multitude of different ways. I really like how McNabb takes what the defense gives him. If left open on the perimeter, the SG is capable of knocking down open threes. If opposing defenders are pressing him on the three-point line, McNabb has no problem blowing by them and then getting to the rim. Once at the rim, McNabb is a great athlete and finisher. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1089686' first='Quinton' last='Lomack'] -- SG -- Madison La Follette</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lomack is poised for a huge season at Madison La Follette. The shooting guard is a strong, physical prospect who can bully opposing defenders in the paint. If Lomack gets a smaller defender on a switch, Lomack is able to make the defense pay. I really like how Lomack is decisive as a scorer. When he makes up his mind, the SG makes a quick move and doesn't waste any movement. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1254365' first='Jaiden' last='Martin'] -- SG -- Dominican</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Martin isn't a super flashy or exciting scorer. But the Martin Luther shooting guard just knows how to get the job done. He has a knack for making big-time plays in the biggest moments. Martin can put the ball on the floor and score in isolation or space the floor and knock down threes. I like the versatility that Martin brings to the table. Whatever his team needs, the SG can do. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
