#3 Brandon only moved up one spot but it’s a big one. He has emerged as a very talented big guard who also plays inside for the Raven team. When we first saw him he was strictly a post player but you saw his ability to take guys big or small off the dribble. He always showed a soft touch from 15 feet and in, but through hard work he can now step out and hit the three. At the same time he has not lost his ability to score inside. Does a really good job of rebounding and defending in the lane.
#4 A big jump up for Kiyan from #9. He transferred during the season to Long Island Lutheran. The son of Carmelo is already showing he is his own person on the court. But make no mistake he has his fathers shooting release and dead eye accuracy. Kiyan looks like a player that will stuff the stat box. Points assists steals rebounds. He is an all around player. Sweet stroke with a quick release off the catch .
#22 Markus climbs from #27 to #22. Coming off of an outstanding season. He shot 40%from beyond the arc. Can score at all three levels. He has great instincts for the game. Really good contesting or blocking shots. Terrific defender. Creates havoc getting his hands into the passing lanes.
Highlights
#40 Patrick is one of the bigger risers on our list jumping from #62 to #40. His first year on varsity he did not miss a beat and continued his outstanding play from JV. With good size he showed the ability to be an explosive wing Playing a lot vs more experienced varsity players he did not back down. He uses his athleticism to finish at the rim. Defensively he quickly established himself as a rim protector.
#26 Jake is the only one on this group not from the CHSAA. Jake plays at Scarsdale high school. He goes from #31 to #26. Can score at all three levels. Possesses a high skill set. Has good size to create matchup problems for defenders.
