Spanning three action-packed days from June 23rd to June 25th, the event took place at the prestigious State Farm Arena in Phoenix, AZ. Over 800 talented players from various high schools showcased their skills on the court, vying for the attention of hundreds of college coaches and scouts in attendance. The atmosphere was electric as the athletes gave their all, displaying their prowess in basketball and leaving spectators in awe. The event served as a prime platform for aspiring prospects to make a name for themselves and catch the attention of college recruiters. With an abundance of talent on display, Section 7 undoubtedly set the stage for a ton of prospects to shine bright. Here’s a look at out top shooters from the event.
Castillero proved why he is on the short list for top shooters in the state. He has the quick release, and textbook stroke, but he also showed that he can change and entire game with his sharpshooting. In the Patriots second round matchup, he hit 7 threes to help them rally from an early double digit deficit and secure the win.

I thought Sherrard struggled a bit during the Summer League shooting the basketball. He knocked the rust off during Section 7, coming up with several big three point shots in route to Mojave’s run to the bracket Championship game.
Jackson probably could have made every list for his performance at Section 7. The PG did it all for Las Vegas, but I would be remissed if I didn’t mention his shooting. His ability to knock down shots when people go under High Balll Screens against him is a game changer. With his speed and quickness he’s sure to get space, his improved shooting ability, leaves defenders in a tough spot.
Took some time adjusting to a new program, but showed that he still has the ability to change the scoreboard with his three point shooting. He was at his best when firing from the corners.

Good weekend overall for Max. He played well in several areas, but has become one of the most consistent shooters in the state. He has a fluid release, free from any hitch and he showed that he can be accurate in both catch and shoot action and off the bounce.
I was impressed with the skill and improvement of a lot of the Legacy players including Chambers. He shot it well in corner catch and shoot action, showing the ability to make shots in the face of hard closing defenders.
I was impressed with Lide’s shot selection during the event. He still played with his usuall confidence and moxie, however he did a good job of turning down good shots for better shots. He had the most range of any of the snipers, knocking down a couple bombs from outside NBA range.
