The Romeoville Live Shootout provided a great opportunity for us to evaluate many of the top prospects from across the state. Now we review what we saw including here in Romeoville Live: 2024 Top Performers Pt 2!

[player_tooltip player_id='1157204' first='Jakob' last='Blakley'] (Larkin)

Blakley had a big month which concluded with a strong showing at Romeoville. In the game we caught him against De La Salle the scoring combo guard dropped 27 points making it look easy with his ability to knock down threes from all over the floor including off the catch and creating on his own. Displayed a soft touch finishing game as well. Born scorer that will be a great microwave guy at the low-major level!

[player_tooltip player_id='1285484' first='Tavariyuan' last='Williams'] (De La Salle)

Williams was one of the more impressive 2024s at the event. He had that killer instinct mindset that we had never seen out of him before on both ends. Williams was a monster in transition with his size going right at his opponents over and over again. He was in attack mode throwing down big dunks and looking unstoppable in the open floor. Also really liked what he brought to the table defensively guarding ones through fours.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285485' first='Richard' last='Lindsey'] (De La Salle)

Lindsey is a strong bodied two guard that can score off the bounce and in transition. Those were the two areas he impressed most in the game we saw. Getting to the cup and converting with his athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id='1978576' first='Lathan' last='Sommerville'] (Peoria Richwoods)

Sommerville was absolutely unstoppable against Moline. He scored 15 points in their blowout win and could have had 50 if he wanted. The big bodied Rutgers commit hit a mid-range jumper and then the physical five followed it up by looking like baby Shaq almost tearing the rim down on several occasions on dunks with defenders hanging all over him. Has great pop around the hoop as a finisher. I was also very impressed with how well he passed the rock to his shooters out of the post. One of the premier players in the senior class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104980' first='Jared' last='Jackson'] (Peoria Richwoods)

Jackson complimented Sommerville's play inside. Sound shooter and was great skying on drives around the hoop for runners and athletic finishes where he maneuvered the ball for scores.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105081' first='Patrick' last='Walsh'] (Benet)

Walsh is one of two vets for Benet that will be key as a senior leader on a loaded young squad. Plus three point shooter especially off the catch and has a solid feel as a playmaker that can play both on and off the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1284852' first='Chris' last='Riddle'] (Kenwood)

Solid overall two games for Riddle on Sunday. The strong bodied and physical small forward is at his best getting downhill to the rack where he scores through contact. Does that combining tight handles, burst accelerating through the hole, and finishing ability through traffic. Good rebounder for a wing that is a tough perimeter defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1157346' first='Jaden' last='Smith'] (Kenwood)

Smith had a good showing especially on the defensive end. He is realizing that his biggest value is at that end of the floor. Showed well blocking shots consistently, switching in space, and clearing the defensive glass. Offensively he had a couple strong post ups and even hit a mid-range jumper. Runs the floor well. Starting to click for Smith!

[player_tooltip player_id='1488791' first='Carson' last='Brownfield'] (Homewood Flossmoor)

Brownfield is one of the more unheralded wings in the class. Kid is an absolute bucket getter! He has a strong frame and the lefty is money from mid-range on pull ups as he knocked them down for days over the weekend. Can score off the bounce as well and hits the glass on both ends. Legit three level scorer that should be getting heavy consideration at the D2 level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1373444' first='Zavier' last='Fitch'] (Brother Rice)

Fitch was excellent again at Romeoville recording 20 points against Kenwood. Super bouncy four man that rim runs, gets tip ins, finishes out of the dunker spot, and even hit a spot up three. High energy big man that rebounds well and is an active defender. Really like what he brings to the table and where his game is trending.

[player_tooltip player_id='1436161' first='Cale' last='Cosme'] (Brother Rice)

Cosme is a wizard with the rock in his hands. He earned his first D2 offer with his play over the weekend. Put on a show against Kenwood. The smaller point guard completely controlled the game with his passing feel, shot making from deep, and soft touch finishing game in the lane. Kid has flat out game and is a baller!

[player_tooltip player_id='1373439' first='Shaheed' last='Solebo'] (Lane Tech)

Solebo started off their game against Lindblom fast recording 12 of his 14 points in the first half banging in a pair of threes, tough step back two, and got to the rim for a and-1 finger roll. Burst off the bounce and passed it well in this one especially to his big guys.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750599' first='JeShawn' last='Stevenson'] (Lindblom)

Stevenson didn't shoot it well from three at all, but he was dominant slashing off the dribble and pounding the offensive glass recording five put backs on the boards. Straight line driver that scores in that way along with getting on the glass. He had 19 points and 7 boards against Lane Tech.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874864' first='Rakim' last='Chaney'] (Rockford Auburn)

The combo guard from Rockford Auburn can really get buckets. Plus shooter that displayed that from both two and three hitting pull ups and shots off the catch. Crisp ball handler that can create offense off the bounce as well.
